Too often you think of that won't happen to me, then it does, or well I just picked the wrong person.. then see it happening to others etc. Nope happens too damn often and you're rolling the dice. In my own case her click was ticking, she just wanted kids, and I was a 'decent guy' she would quickly resent. Happened to stumble across an old email where she was mad at me and told me she'd have gone with this other guy if he had a healthy looking body and I also remember near the end asking her if I was just a decent guy why not our other friend. Basically answered she thought African Asian mix kids weren't good looking (I beg to differ but besides the point)

I agree that you shouldn't base your world view on one persons bad experience.

Consider this, though:

70% of all divorces are initiated by women
Child Support can be 50% of your paycheck (Typically awarded to women)
Alimony can be 40% of your paycheck (Overwhelmingly awarded to women)
You do not need the state involved in your relationship

For anyone considering marriage, I STRONGLY encourage them to watch the documentary: Divorce Corp, to see just how flawed and corrupt family courts/lawyers can be. It's better to pay $3.00 now to watch this than hundreds of thousands of dollars in lawyer fees.

As far as this example goes, this makes me think back to hearing some people in the red pill sphere say that a woman won't appreciate the things you do for her. This is a classic example of that.

This is my own personal rule....never date or marry a western woman, especially an American or Canadian woman. Never. Not worth it. Too risky.

Foreign women are superior to their western counterparts.

If you have daughters, do not raise them to be feminists or to have the way of thinking as the American female.

If you won't date or marry a bitch, do not create one as well.

This guy is going to win in the long run. If he’s really the man you say he is, he’ll be fine. She’ll have a much harder time finding a better man then he’ll have finding a good woman. But all of us need to try and stay in shape and stay ready, providing financially is not enough for women regardless of what they say, you physical appearance and personality matters the minute they are comfortable financially.

This is an anecdote. If someone else's lone bad experience makes you too afraid to commit to someone you love, I feel badly for you, because now this awful woman hurt you in addition to your friend (and you facilitated her harming you by taking her example as a limitation on your own life).

Not all marriages are meant to last first off.

Second, just because he helped take care of her doesn't mean she's supposed to stay with him forever.

Third, your friend can see this as an opportunity to find someone new. Someone who will love him back again. I sure as fuck wouldn't want someone staying with me just because they felt obligated.

Fourth, you shouldn't let this one experience spoil a potential relationship for yourself or possible marriage. Of course you should only marry someone you love and trust. But even then life is full of risks and sometimes it just doesn't work out.

There are countless posts of the opposite happening, and you can see the erupting vendetta of how the guys are trash for leaving a sickly partner during the time of need but nothing when a woman leaves a sickly partner cause the effort and responsibility is too much and unfair.
