The former Prime Minister, Julia Gillard made countless claims of sexism due to the criticisms of her leadership and isolated incidences where a member of the public called her a bitch or commented on her appearance.

The media were fully on board with this fight against sexisim and when Gillard finally gave her misogyny speech the entire world cheered her on without any knowledge or understanding of what was said that was apparently sexist.

So now that a new "male lead" government is in power should we expect that those who fought against sexism directed at a female PM would not criticize the new male Prime Ministers body, appearance, gender and not use violent language, suggest he is homosexual or reduce him to his genitalia?
