Anything that reduces condom use will increase STI transmission. However, in casual sex world, the woman will not believe a man who says he is on birth control so condoms will likely get used anyway.

It's not really that unreasonable to believe that someone you just met is lying to you, regardless of genders... either way, there is no legitimate argument against condom use in casual sex...

Well if men had the same reproductive rights as women (in this current political climate) they wouldn't be too happy. Also, assuming that you're not "sperm-jacking" (I've never met a women who would ever do this, but I take your word for it that it occasionally happens), a woman has the burden of taking responsibility for whether or not she gets pregnant. It's a lot of pressure! If I get pregnant, it's because I forgot to take my pill. I think sharing it would be a healthy thing to do, and would allow for more communication between sexual partners. This procedure sounds awesome. I would love to get off the pill, and I'm sure men would like to have more of a say besides having to buy condoms.

I wouldn't place too much faith in it though. There are shitty people out there who don't want to share the responsibility of having a child with someone, and who would walk out (women do it too). I've personally seen it happen, especially with a lot of teens. It would definitely alleviate the problem though, because it means that people would be having children with the right person, when they're ready.

...Or the mother! At least where I come from, a lot of kids are born because of a lack of sexual education, restriction from birth control, or drunken antics. I'm sure it exists, but a lot of women (most of them young) are not connected to their bodies due to a serious lack of knowledge, and therefore get pregnant. It's a situation that can be remedied (even though lawmakers in my state refuse to do so), but I absolutely cannot believe that women are always scheming to have pregnancies the fathers don't want. I'm sure it happens, but you can't make sweeping generalizations that the father was the only one who wasn't expecting a child.

I thought about your first comment, and I realized that yes, it must be really difficult for fathers to have to stand by and give up a lot of their rights as fathers simply because women are the ones who carry babies to term. That must be really hard for them, and I think they should absolutely be a part of every decision. It's unfair to leave the father out. What I meant by that comment was unclear. I meant that there are a lot of bills being proposed/buzz words flying around about women and their bodies/access to birth control and abortion. Honestly, if women's access to birth control was easier, men would greatly benefit, as there wouldn't be as many unplanned pregnancies. The other stuff (like the various ultrasound bills) is just plain invasive and awful. I grew up thinking that my choices would be respected by those around me, and also by my government. I was obviously being incredibly naive. Because I've lived my whole life with respect for my body and the belief that it's mine and mine only, it makes me frustrated that politicians have taken it upon themselves to make the female body and what goes on inside it a political agenda. I'm sure men feel the same way about other issues with the government controlling their bodies (the draft, etc) but reproductively speaking, men's bodies have not yet become a battleground. That is what I meant by my comment.
