In his first paragraph, he discusses how if soldiers are to be called victims, then they are victims of the ones who sent them to war. I agree with this, but he then states “those responsible are men”. This is no doubt true most of the time, but it is certainly not true all of the time.

Missed the boat with this one, I think. The correct riposte to the claim that it's mostly men who send men to combat is "Who gives a shit?"

At the pain of reposting a comment I made only a couple days ago, in full:

Who gives a shit? This isn't men vs women, it's advocates of equality against sources of inequality. It doesn't matter whether that inequality is because of men, women, or sexless amorphic amoebas from space, if inequality exists it should be fought against.

Also, the computer simulation of warning compliance paper that was behind a paywall is accessible with a google search of the title.

Ackshually the workplace deaths for men are caused by the patriarchy because unrealistically slim Barby dolls are discouraging stronk yndypyndynt wymyn from from bulking in order to become swole, so women are kept out of dangerous jobs like mining in order to keep them from leaping over the wage gap. According to credible sources (I am not here to educate you SHITLORD, so you will just have to look it up on your own!) 99.9% of male workplace deaths are men's fault anyway because men have testosterone which causes them to not follow the safety signs. Maybe if men weren't so preoccupied with TOXIC MASCULINITY they would take the proper precautions in the workplace like taking estrogen pills to reduce their male rage hormones.

For me this was the worst line in the whole thing:

It shows a complete lack of empathy and understanding for where many men come from. Yes, my grandfather worked in a coal mine to prove how tough he was, not because he knew he would be shamed if he failed to provide for himself.

I know you're not onto part 2 yet, but:

[On murder] That men are often killed by other men is not a problem that women are responsible for.

Did we ever say that they were? There's this false dichotomy that he keeps creating that because we're pro-men we must be anti-woman. Because he blames women's problems on men, we must blame men's problems on women.

When I first saw that debunking article I was puzzled at how they were going about it. I assume many reposting didn't pay much attention, the workplace deaths section seemed especially flimsy.

Also, re: war:

Yes, men are in hierarchical positions where they send great amounts of other men lower in the hierarchy to war. But what for? Look at any war propaganda and you'll see the safety and protection of women was paramount. And for whose benefit? Do women not drive cars using the same oil that blood is spilled over every day in the Middle East? They don't in Saudi Arabia, but they do in western nations. Women gained the right to vote with but it should be noted they did not use that right to vote for frugal pacifism.
