I recently had a conversation with a family friend about abortion and how men shouldn't get equal rights because it's not their body, and to a certain extent, I agree. I would never want to force a woman to have a child or to have an abortion: But I said: "What about equity." There are other considerations because body autonomy can and is just as important. Forcing someone to work for YOUR body autonomy choices is wrong and IMHO just as bad as forcing a child or an abortion. So I purposed, give men an equitable choice, IOW, give me all the other choices that a woman has like "Not forced into paying for a child you don't or didn't want". Consent to sex is NOT consenting to become a parent because if it were, abortion would not be allowed except in the case of rape.
