You do realize that homosexuality is a social-construct, right?

Up until modern times homosexuality was simply how you fucked, not who you fucked. Human relationships are incredibly complex and boiling it down to "Penis + Penis = gay" is incredibly simplistic and idiotic. If we start to label behaviors instead of preferences as orientations it disregards a lot of information.

We call sex between men homosexual sex, and that is what occurred between my friend and I, but he isn't attracted to men, meaning he isn't homosexual. I was attracted to him, but that wasn't reciprocated. What was reciprocated was years of developed friendship that spilled into intimacy. If it was more than a one time thing I'd be inclined to say he was probably attracted to men, but he simply isn't.

Here's an analogy:

You wouldn't call someone addicted to heroin a marijuana addict because that's all they could afford this week.
