This video is very informative about how rape happens in jail and how to avoid it.

TL;DR rape does not happen like gang rapes seen in films. It is actually committed through coercion. There are concrete things that you can do to avoid the situation, like not accepting gifts from unknown people.

As stated in the video, even though every prison has the absolute right to not be raped, it is up to each prisoner to ensure their own safety.

I don't understand why they don't make a similar video for college students. This is stuff everyone should learn so that they don't become a statistic.

I just googled the issue of his to avoid rape. A few of the articles seemed to offer useful advice. After those few there were an awful lot making the case that one shouldn't have to try to avoid rape.

The sentiments and support of the video are reassuring, and yet I hope it's a true reflection of reality for men in prison. This is probably the first video I've seen that takes the subject seriously and addresses it in a comprehensive, mature manner.

Why? Because feminists can use rape, the threat of rape, and lies about rape to rally women together. Women united are powerful, and whatever works is fair game.

It's very like the constant repetition of the 77% wage gap: it doesn't matter if only a fraction of that may be be due to discrimination, because it rallies women.

Keep telling the Big Lie, and people can't help but believe it.

And, it really looks to me as though most feminists, along with many women, and some men, truly believe that rape culture is a reality.
