I struggle a lot with the abortion topic personally, see a lot of sides and situations that make me go back and forth. I keep it to myself mostly and try not to judge other people.

I saw this gem in a comment on FB:

"Why don't they pass a Federal Law to have all me have vasectomies until they are able to give a child a secure life? Why do we, as women, have to suffer?"

So now by default, all males are deadbeats, should be sterilized until they are deemed worthy, so women do not have to suffer. Fucking lovely.

I love how some women turn this into a gender issue, in regards to responsibility, meaning that it should be all on the males shoulders. Funny thing too is that there are females pushing these abortion laws too, it's not just men. I see "It's all about trying to control the female body!"

IMO if a female and male decide to have sex, birth control should be the responsibility of both. If the birth control fails for either male, female, or both, still is on both.

If she does get pregnant, now all of a sudden everything is up to her? He has no say, and the child obviously has no say?

If she decides she wants to keep the child, and he doesn't, he will be on the hook for payments for the next 18 years. I struggle with this for various reasons / situations.

If he decides he would want the child, would take full custody, and she doesn't, tough shit, not his choice. And if she does agree to carry the child to term for him, would she be required by law to help support the child financially for him for 18 years, not likely.

Although this is a good post, the title does not say enough about its subject. This forces people to click and read before they can decide whether they are interested. It also makes searching impossible.

If everyone did this, the subreddit would become unusable.

They are completely setting themselves up. I am not trying to be funny when I say this, but you could just tell them that their comment is insensitive to transgender women who don't necessarily have a uterus, and that they ought to be ashamed of themselves.

That's why this "whoa is me, I am so much more oppressed than you and therefore you owe me an apology" kind of game doesn't work anymore once you learn what the rules are. It is all about trying to convince them that they are more "guilty" than you are.
