I dunno - this sounds great, actually. This is a long-term couple who jointly participates in home ownership.

I see that she's trying to make it more toxic than it is, but I am doubtful that there's any deceit going on; and if there is deceit, it may be a very heartwarming surprise, like after some number of years, she reveals to him that they now own the house free and clear (or have $100k equity in the house, or etc.).
