What kind of mindfucked retard thinks an article about a government-backed plan to remove a man's right to presumption of innocence, that ignores the evidence of women abusing children, that by default assumes children belong to women and not men and that suppresses or ignores the abuse of men by women should be hidden?

Seems to me from that it has already been endorsed by the Commonwealth govt, and all state and territory govts.

I'm stumped for words. I can't remeber ever hearign much about this when it was on the table in 2009, let alone when it was all buttoned up last year.

Just FTR, 5 of those govt premiers/ chief ministers were men.

And here's the final insult: out of a total Commonwealth govt funding allotment (NOT including expenditure by states and territories) of AU$86million, a piddling $750,000 goes to "counselling services for male victims of violence"

I know I'm swearing a lot on this subject, and I'm sorry if that offends, but the WHOLE PLAN is fucking offensive and I make no apologies for being ropable.

How can a man prove that she consented? Even if he records the entire encounter, including her expressing enthusiastic consent, all she has to do is claim that it was forced.

I feel sick that I live in Australia right now. But I am really bothered by the way this article was written... I mean why didn't they provide page references for their claims? I believe them, I mean I'm flipping through the plan now and the way it treats men is disgusting. But it would be really useful to see the precise parts where the stuff they mentioned can be found.

I urge every bloke, whether you live in the shithole that is Australia or not, whether you have kids or not, to go to the link, download the document and read the scope and depth of what's proposed.

I'm much too incensed to write anything more coherent, but if this "plan" gets the go-ahead I would be very surprised if a great many thinking Australian blokes don't simply say "fuck it, I'm off" to the whole idea of any relationship with any Australian woman.

Just wow. I thought this was an embellishment so I read the paper...

An accused man must show proof of consent when using certain defenses such as "mistaken consent" are used. Mistaken consent means he felt that she gave consent, but she denies giving it. In other words, a woman would be able to withdraw consent should she regret a sexual encounter at any time afterwards, and the man would have to provide evidence of a lie or go to jail for 20 years.

The suspension of mens rea and taking her word for it, without evidence. Scary stuff.
