Oftentimes, sexism is broken down into two categories: benevolent and hostile. I can name several examples of benevolent sexism towards women, such as "women and children first," and a man being expected to pay for dates and such. Can anyone think of any examples where the reverse is true? Where women sacrifice something , be it physical/emotional/mental, for a man simply because he is a man? Is it possible to be benevolently sexist towards men?

Edit: I feel like this post may not be clear enough. I do believe that sexism happens towards men, but is almost entirely hostile/malevolent sexism. I just wanted to see if there is more benevolent sexism going on than I thought.
