These people have no idea of the true meaning of privilege, like 3 squares a day (more for landwhales), health care, public libraries, or the smaller perks of having most your relatives alive and never having fought for your life.

Some people in the G20 countries don't even have the above.

So if I'm white, it's a privilege if people smile at me?

But if I'm a man it's a privilege that people don't smile at me, because smiling at women is harassment?

Are they really claiming that women's gender conformity is questioned more by the clothes they wear? And then in 15. they even admit themselves that women have more socially accepted options. Or am I misunderstanding that?

Wow I can do this too:

-If I am in trouble on the side of the road, people will be much more likely to stop and help

-If we go to war, I can be safely assured that I will not be drafted, nor shamed for not 'doing my part' (look up WWI Britain and the white flower thing women did as an example)

-If I express weakness or even cry, people will be concerned, not disgusted.

-If I'm hit, it's serious -not funny

-It's ok if I have 'just' an average job [insert -I personally hate judging anyone for any honest work, hence the ' '] making lower middle class income. As long as I'm a decent person, I'm still considered a good potential partner.

-While people will still expect and hope for more of me, being un or under employed does not brand me a total loser.

-I have institutional backing clamoring for me to be 50% of only the top jobs; the 'lower' [again, I hate that] jobs can go to men. Women shouldn't have to touch icky things.

-I am given more lenient sentences for crimes. There are even organizations, government parties and individuals with clout who believe that my actions that lead me to prison are not in line with my nature as a female, and that punishment for my crimes should be abolished. I was misunderstood.

-While it is true that 'slut shaming' exists, if I am a virgin that is considered positive and not an indicator of being a 'loser' like it would be for others. People do not shame or joke about the size of my genitals or say I "can't get laid" to demean me.

-Nobody can force me to become a parent. I have great access to contraceptives, can have an abortion, and even post birth can drop the baby off at a safe haven and be absolved of any role.

-I can manage to find a movie that doesn't depict the opposite sex hitting my genitals, often as a moment of 'empowerment' one-upsmanship

-I can carry out above mentioned actions in real life and it is considered by many OK

-I can have traditionally male interests and be accepted. While some people may reject me, ultimately, men and society at large are welcoming to a woman who likes fishing, hunting and cars. Thank God I'm not a man who loves young children or makeup.

-While it is true that being overweight affects me more than it does a man, I can at least do something about it. Whereas....

-If I am very short in stature, while I may get some discrimination and ribbing for it, it is not nearly the setback it would be if I were male. A 5'1'' woman is seen as petite. A 5'1'' male is considered -and treated- as pathetic, by both sexes, in different ways.

-If I write a book about a woman who leaves her husband and newborn to travel the world and 'find herself' (Eat, Pray, Love) it is touted as spiritually enlightened, riveting, and profound. If I were male and left my wife and newborn to find myself I would rightly be called a loser.

-A major portion of people and components of society believe that there is "no reason to ever hit a woman". This 'emboldens' me to hit, throw drinks at, and scream and harass men in ways I would never do if I knew I'd be held accountable for my actions.

-In the event a man does hit me, even if I've attacked him first, I feel confident knowing most people still be on my side.

-People have bullshit world views that favor me. Anyone that's lived a normal life should by the time they're a teenager realize, for instance, that domestic violence is about 50:50 and not a gender-based issue. Substantial research backs this up. But at high school in the hallways, there will be pamphlets talking about what to do when "he" hurts you, and places to go to escape from "him". They won't even go through the motions of pretending they acknowledge the other way around [I saw this at a high school in Los Angeles when I visited it about a year ago] Advertisements will universally show a sad looking woman cowering before an angry man. This furthers peoples' innate higher concern for my well being.

-I don't really have to do anything to have worth. My being female is enough. A nice middle aged woman who works at Wal Mart is a valuable human being still. A nice middle aged man who works at Wal Mart is a 'loser with no future'.

-When people write about the ways something is affecting my sex, it is because they are concerned about our well being. When people write about the opposite sex, it is ultimately because they're concerned about how what is hurting them may down the line or indirectly hurt us, too.

Right, so men (who are the minority in colleges) now have to be subjected to bullshit guilt tripping like this, which can only serve to alienate them.

Maybe STEM jobs should hold workshops on female privilege for new hires. I'm sure that would go over well.

Can you provide some proof that these were handed out by an official uni rep and as part of orientation? There's no branding on any of the paper.
