This is what annoys me (actually I want to check and see if my post was removed). I called the article sexist because it's tone implied that the reason "successful" women can't find successful men is entirely men's fault.

It's r/science so it's not necessarily a "we don't like men's rights" thing, since if you go there, especially after a post has been up for several hours, you will often see deleted comments.

Still, it's frustrating you can't have conversations with anyone who thinks differently outside a few places that cater to gender related issues. All the feminist subs (including men's lib) will ban you for any divergence of opinion. No serious discussion in mainstream subs are allowed, though they have no problem allowing and promoting feminist talking points.

It's an uncomfortable truth to reconcile. Women don't want to believe that they are naturally inclined to seek out men who are more successful than they are. It's inconvenient to the narrative of equality the left pushes.

Nevermind that it's almost universally representative of relationships in reality. It's got to be wrong because it feels wrong (/s).

I'm willing to concede that we don't actually know if this tendency is social or biological. But it definitely exists. As it stands, women are going to have to accept that their inordinate success compared to men under ~35 means that they are going to have to start dating down, or face the competition for the much smaller pool of men who earn above them.

This is a good thing, as there are less men getting married, there is less men willing to put up with bullshit! Marriage is a losing prop for men, what man is dumb enough in this age to get married with a good income, deserves it at this point, given every boomer, and gen xer is constantly being screwed by his ex on tv everyday. I just saw some 50 year old ex-football player ex wife come back 10 years after the divorce demanding $15 million because she blew the first $30 million divorce settlement. Any guy who is financially stable who gets married at this point DESERVES to be kicked in the balls and have his money taken due to low iq. He shouldn't even be reproducing.

To be fair r/science moderation leaves lots of threqda all across the spectrum looking that. They really are strict about enforcing their standards and a thread like that is just begging for people to ignore all their rules.

There’s another element to this, it’s been raised before a number of times here and it’s the dynamics of a relationship where the women earns significantly more. It’s unchartered waters for the majority of humans. And it’s tough, I grew up being told that if I earned more than my partner I’d have to be careful that he didn’t feel emasculated. I prefer to date someone who is at least equivalent to be in work ethic, financially meh the closer the better. It’s not about greed or being for sale as many are suggesting, we’re biologically programmed for men to be the primary material providers and it can be hard to get used to when it’s switched
