That sums up every reason I push myself every morning to get into the gym. Once my boy started walking (and running) I realized he'd quickly catch up to my (then) obese and out of shape self. He's now 3.5 years old, sees a fit, active dad that's getting healthier all the time, and knows what foods are good, what are junk, and how eating right and exercise make for a healthy, strong body. I can only hope this sets him off on the right direction in life, so far so good! And I feel like a superhero.

I love these guys. They always have good motivation adds that make you want to workout and not de-motivate like other companies. Plus, I owe my good health to their forums and members.

i knew this would bring out some anti-bodybuilding/anti-supplement comments. working out for greater aesthetics isn't necessarily a bad thing, guys. most of the most popular supplements (like whey protein) are very helpful. and to those saying supplements are a false excuse to not eat healthy foods... just about anybody into bodybuilding is probably eating healthier than the average person. bodybuilding is like weed. lots of ignorant people who are too sure of themselves are against it.

Thanks, I showed this ad to my father and he liked it. He hates when men/dads are portrayed in commercials & shows as "the dumb man" or "the clueless husband." And, my father played superhero with my brother and me growing up, so it was even better. :)

My issue is only this:

This is still linking the value of a man to his physical fitness. I know, a lot of guys here are wanking themselves to how much they're driven to go to the gym, but it really concerns me that the advertisements I see about how men can be "good" or "super" (or even "good fathers", for god's sake) focus on physical fitness. I may be a bit paranoid about it, but it really just seems to be a furtherance of "men are only worthy of praise if they're physically fit".

How about a father being a "super" one by supporting his children intellectually or emotionally?
