I don't even know if this sub is safe, but that's what it feels like.

It is probably safer than most other subs, but it is not a 'safe space' in the conventional definition/usage of the term.

The moderators practise a 'free speech first' approach to moderation. We don't privilege any one view/position/perspective over another. As long as what is being said has a relation to the topic of the sub (which is a broad range) and an good faith intend to discuss (rather than morally grand stand and/or (concern) troll) is recognizable.

So you will definitely encounter positions that you disagree with as well as ones that challenge your position, aside from finding like minded people that agree with you. Take it as an opportunity to strengthen and refine your ideas.

Same as others, I’ve always considered myself left of centre but the left has gone too extreme demonizing men. Alienating half the population isn’t going to work but the far left who are the loudest are too self focussed and missing the bigger picture.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m a liberal woman from CA and I get cancelled on Reddit. I no longer know the definition of feminism and just switched parties from Democrat to Independent. I’ve unsubscribed from all the feminism subs because I no longer recognize the voices there.

There has to be something in the middle. I can see men are under attack now, have high rates or suicide, and fewer getting advanced degrees. There’s an epidemic of loneliness and the dating apps must be infuriating. If we were being fair, we would acknowledge this.

I’m not saying that women don’t have real grievances like right to body autonomy, domestic violence, equal pay and I’ve personally faced a shit ton of bullying due to being in a male dominated career.

I think Reddit especially operates in ALL terminology where there are nuances. Not all men are bad. Not all women are bad. But there are bad things happening to both sexes and it would be great if we could work together to make it better for everyone.

Reddit is riddled with high-school and Uni kids so you can imagine the problems there.

I just cant understand young males cheering on the double standards and hypocrisy of feminism. It's mind bending dribble. It's clear there's discrimination against males in scholarships and schools blocking boys from girl-only classes. White females absolutely love it!

Judging from some of the comments. I'd say there is a ton of feminist and anti-male redditors who have infiltrated this sub. It's confirmed. There is no safe place for straight masculine men (especially white) to have a community online. Atleast not on reddit.

This isn't just a problem on Reddit, hell even on platforms like Instagram you'd see worst side of misandry and manginas circling around men having opinions on women and giving facts about human biology.

All of social media is as gynocentric as it comes.

If this sub lasted 15 years, in which it did, then you'd have to thank the past cultural norms that allowed for r/mensrights to still flurish.

But, you're on right, with this increase in the western plague of dogmatic female supremacy and what have you, subreddits like this, no matter how neutral or "safe" are hanging on low gravity.

Reddit and other social media platforms are following a zeitgeist. If anything, it's business for these platforms to adhere to the wants and needs of the majority that is most supported and gives off revenue.

And artificial engagement accounts, those exist too to stir up more debate and bring more revenue.

Basically, the existence of wokeism is allowed because it's seen as a commodity for social media as a whole.

My advice would be to ignore this and hope that that's more safe spaces for men who want to be heard and not judged, and spaces like this stay afloat here on Reddit.

Remember, if they shut down men's rights, then Reddit doesn't support or care about men's rights, and that in itself is discriminatory as hell.

That and micro economy explain most life lessons and interpersonal skill to me

A lot of men's right issue can be seen through that lense

For example men kill other men more. So we would expect society to also favor women in democracy.

We can't change the law but we can get equality for ourselves if we avoid government regulations
