Well, I mean it's kinda true. Most people who commit sex-related crimes are men because a majority of those laws don't apply to women.

Also, if the women doesn't get convicted of the crime they probably don't fit into the statistic.

Majority may be correct, but the use of the word "overwhelming" is a clear case of using emotion to get the required reaction. One can almost hear the reader going "gasp"! They could have simply written "the great majority" or "95%" and so on. I am also curious as to the underlining of the word "male" -- is that the OP's doing or is it the book itself further emphasizing how dreadful men are? Looks like the latter to me.

The use of "thus" implies that if most were committed by women they wouldn't even bother looking for semen, whereas they actually look for hair, saliva, fingerprints and so on.

As for secretors, who make up three quarters of the population, they secrete evidence of their blood type into bodily fluids like saliva, but there will be DNA in their semen. DNA is more useful than blood type for identification. So semen would actually be particularly useful if the case involved a non-secretor, as a secretor might leave at least their blood type in other bodily fluids..

In short, this text book was written by an idiot, ask for a refund.

This is a one sided truth because males almost never report, an even if they did, they're unlikely to be believed.

Ok, I'm going to show my ignorance here, but this got me thinking. What evidence would be left by someone who forced a male to penetrate them (I'd call this rape, but that would be obviously inappropriate)? From this article, it looks like a female [rapist] may not leave behind evidence.

Given that, it sounds like even if there was a desire to solve rape cases with male victims, it would be nearly impossible to convict the perpetrator due to lack of evidence.

I'm not necessarily upset by their methods of starting with the assumption of male sexual aggression, since it's backed up by statistic and is therefore the most logical and efficient form of analysis. As long as they take some time to investigate the possibility of female rapists.

I'm mostly upset by the hypocrisy in this methodology. People are outraged when similar assumptions are made when minorities/women are profiled.
