Gladly. Fundamentally, and trying to be as neutral as possible, the complaints center around the use of excessive force. That's a perfectly legitimate thing to complain about- if it's what happening. Here are the main complications:

Media consolidation. 90% of the American mainstream media is owned by just six companies. SIX. What they don't want people to hear about, people don't hear about. There's nothing stopping Americans from seeking coverage elsewhere- but inertia is a very, VERY powerful force in politics. Unfortunately, this makes just about everything they say suspicious. Related to this is:
Anti-Trump hysteria. Opposition to the man and his politics is by no means a sign of being brainwashed; one can do so perfectly legitimately. But such is the power of media consolidation (and social media consolidation, too) that you will, to this day, hear people accuse the man of every sin under the sun, often using "evidence" that's been utterly and completely debunked. They also focus on his rhetoric (which, make no mistake, is deliberately inflammatory to an irresponsible degree) and ignore his actually actions and policies (which place him as the most liberal Republican President of my lifetime; probably since Nixon). This isn't all THAT different from the Republican repudiations of Obama and Clinton, but it's to a much harsher degree. Basically, to these people, anything Trump does is bad, and anything bad ultimately comes from Trump. They're not just dismissable lunatics, either, since it's reached the point where even legitimate criticism of the man gets ignored, since it's presumed (by pretty much everyone outside the cult) to be more crazed ranting. I'm debating writing a children's book titled "The Boy Who Cried 'Trump'" to get the message across to them. But it's not just about Trump, because:
The US immigration laws are terrible. Much of the rest of the West is just as bad, if not worse, but both parties have a vested interest in not improving the laws. The old stereotype is that the Republicans need cheap labor (and illegal immigrants can't exactly report violations of safety laws) and the Democrats need votes (which is illegal, but... Chicago), but the truth is even nastier: they need easy political clubs with which to bludgeon their enemies. "The Other Side wants to [exclude nonwhite people/allow in murderers]!" works depressingly well at making voters think that they HAVE to vote for you, because only YOU will protect the country from the terrible Other Side. It's no longer about pushing your party's ideology or even just gaining wealth and power for yourself via corruption; now it's all about pushing your party, plain and simple. This is why the Republicans put forth a raging populist and still call themselves conservative, while the Democrats put up a guy who explicitly said he was going to choose his running mate based on race and sex, and still call themselves liberal. This complacency on the part of the government has lead to:
The current immigration crisis. When a problem has arisen that requires harsh and unpopular actions to solve, the tendency for politicians (and non-politicians, if I'm being honest) everywhere is to avoid it if they can, and downplay it if they can't. Unfortunately, kicking the can down the road almost always just makes things worse, making the situation call for much stronger harsh and unpopular action. The obvious recent example is the Israeli occupation of Gaza; a stronger response years or decades ago could've obviated the need for such brutality. It's much the same here.

Add in the media-driven political polarization, and you've got legitimate police action being demonized and straight-up police brutality being overlooked, because of nothing more than the letters after the names of the politicians. And so ever more social and economic power is concentrated into ever fewer hands, because the rank and file are all at one another's throats, where they've been told to be.

You want to talk about breaking the law, the entire DHS operation is a flagrant violation of the law across a multitude of fronts. The head of DHS Kristi Noem is funneling money to friends via a corruption scheme involving an unprecedented $250 million ad budget involving videos of her riding around on horses and shooting guns, with the taxpayer cash going to companies her and her family/friends have a personal stake in. The tactics being used by ICE deprive American citizens of due process, they are entering residences without a warrant, the last shooting of a US citizen resulted from an ICE policy which allows agents to physically harm bystanders who are filming them, there have already been about 12 people in ICE detention centers presumed innocent under the law die under shady circumstances and the first month of the year isn’t over. I could go on. In the response to the last shooting DHS leadership outright lied about the protester brandishing and conspiring to massacre ICE agents, prompting even the president to make a significant leadership change and moderate tactics. Even deeply conservative groups like the NRA are outraged.

Americans want action on the immigration issue but most believe this has gone way too far. Beyond the tactics, there is no attempt to actually investigate any wrongdoing and there are lawsuits left and right about DHS destroying evidence, and barring state governments from investigating potential crimes such as the recent shooting. The most significant lawsuit involves a memo sent to state of Minnesota leadership from the DOJ detailing a list of demands in order for the ICE surge to go down involving things like voter data and SNAP beneficiary lists and so on. In other words, surging federal troops not with the desire to deport illegal immigrants but to threaten chaos to cities and damage to citizens in order extort other policy changes.

What is so hard to understand that the vast majority of people who are against ICE right now are not against deporting illegal but more against methods used by ICE ?

Non identifiable masked agents targetting people because of their skin color and doing warrantless raids ?

ICE is consistently breaking the law and every time it happens there is no real investigation and no accountability.

They detain a lot of citizens constantly.

For a while they were also waiting outside court room to catch immigrants going through the legal process to deport them.

The facility where they put people in have inhumane conditions.

You can deport illegal immigrants but all the things I just listed are not only completely unavoidable, but if they were not I don’t think it’s a fair price to pay to deport mostly good faith working people that helps the economy.

There is a balance to have between enforcing the law vs going all in on authoritarianism and ignoring the rights of even law abiding citizens. Right now they don’t care about the second one and try to cover up and justify any mistakes.

please give me the simple version of this hatred of deporting illegal immigrants

The people that they want to deport are refugees who came and obtained legal status. That status usually gets extended liberally when it expires until the conflict ends, or they get a work permit and become permanent residents. It was not extended.

When refugees come, they come very suddenly without much in the way of planning. They dropped EVERYTHING and ran to the first place that would take them, in this case the US. When they get here, they get a placement then they are given a date for when to appear in front of an immigration judge. Each case has to be evaluated and there aren't enough judges to do that job, so sometimes these people spend months in limbo before their case gets heard.

These people aren't really breaking a law, so to speak. Overstaying a visa isn't a criminal matter, it's a civil matter.

In the enforcement efforts, there are many people who have legal status who are getting rounded up and deported anyway, or who are citizens who are getting rounded up and sent to detention centers because they are the wrong skin color. These ICE agents also take your paperwork, like your birth certificate and your social security card, passport, state ID, or military ID and they don't give them back even when they release you. Getting fresh copies of those is in many cases almost impossible. In my case, there are two original copies of my birth certificate and I have both. If they get taken I can't get another one, it's just gone. Now, you can order a fresh Social Security card. I have those things safely tucked away in a fireproof box in my house.

Regardless, the US immigration system is so bogged down and convoluted that figuring out how to come here and stay here legally is very challenging. It requires a team of lawyers sometimes up to a decade to accomplish. The only real exceptions are for the very wealthy, or for people fleeing a warzone (refugees).

I have looked into emigrating myself. The short answer is that it's not possible for the average person who works and cares for a family to change countries.
