In case #3, the victim was raped and murdered. How on earth could she have falsibly accused anyone when she was dead? The convicted gave a coerced confession after police abuse. A wrongful conviction != a so-called "false allegation."

In cases #1, #2, #4, &#6, the victim was also raped and murdered. The conviction was handed down against these men, but it is really wrong of you to present these in the context of a "false allegation " where no crime took happen. A crime DID happen, but the wrong people were convicted. This is not at all similar to someone lying about being raped. This was done by aggressive police interrogation resulting in false confessions, which were used to convicted the defenden

The same with #5, where the victim was kidnapped, raped, and murdered. These crimes did happen. There was no "false accusation," only shoddy police work.

I think the Innocence Project is very important, and most definitely should be an area of support for those interested in MR, but it's really wrong and irresponsible of you to conflate these cases with merely being "falsely accused" by someone and thrown in jail for years.

In Texas when an inmate is exonerated they get a rather large sum of money automatically.
