I would imagine a defamation suit would be a easy thing for him to deal with. If no criminal conviction is against him then as far as the law sees it its just words. Words that effect his income with intent is criminal.

If the allegations turn out to be true, he should plead guilty and let the courts decide. If the allegations are not true, then he's already misstepped; remember the lawyer who got slapped with allegation of sexual misconduct with a minor but who immediately fired back with counterclaims, suits, and was more than willing to drag everything out into the open?

It's a sad thing to say, but that's the only sensible stance one can take against false accusers anymore: overwhelming and unequivocal opposition. Don't worry about burning any bridges, because those will be burnt anyway; but in order to avoid the taint of being judged in open court it is necessary for those who are innocent to publicly and vigorously defend themselves. If Deen doesn't do it soon, he will deserve the consequences.

There's two things to consider - how wide spread this will eventually be, and how long it will last.

The larger part of the porn watching demographic likely won't give a shit, so he won't have significant sales problems, he just has a current PR problem. Every body will run away from the PR problem until people shut up and forget about it. Once that happens (what, less than 2 years?) he can likely go back to what he was doing and nobody will care. He will have to be very careful not to be where he can be accused of similar behaviour without a camera running, but that isn't as hard as his job... <badump-crash>
