I dont mean to be pedantic, but unless his insult was part of a repeated and sustained campaign, then what we see here is "mockery" not "harassment".

I say this because "harassment" carries a lot of weight nowadays while "mockery" (which is what this looks to be) does not.

Anyway, it's fine to not fully back Milo, but still be more or less on board with what his aims are (though not his methods). Frankly I've found him less and less appealing the more "I'm a media superstar. I can do anything I want" he has behaved.

Hes pro circumcision and AFAIK buys into the typical attitudes regarding domestic violence, he is more likely to say that feminism makes women unhappy.

And, of course, hes a tradcon.

He has his moments but hes not an MRA. He has managed to be disdainful of the MRA while conceding MRAs are right about most things.

I've never liked him much. I think he's good as a free speech supporter but otherwise he's an asshole. He lost me when he took a picture of a fat person at the gym and posted it on twitter just to mock them. He just likes attention

I don't fully back Milo either. I enjoy him, like ... like... firey hot Thai food. At some point, it's not fun any more. But you still try.

Good points:

calling out SJW courses, professors, administration, and protesters
attacking feminism, and defending some men's rights
similarly attacking racism coming from the left's pet racial groups
a sense of humor and style, knows how to make an entrance
not too bad looking, usually
understands that the left is not monolithic, and that libertarians exist

Bad points:

conflates lesbianism and feminism, attacks lesbians for no reason
stuck in false-binary scientific past, attacks trans people for existing
believes in a sky fairy (I know some of you do too... but it's unjustifiable)
often doesn't come prepared with facts (even if they exist) so interrupts and insults instead
make promises he can't or won't keep

While I like most about Milo is that he paves the way for someone who can really do this properly.

This is also why we have to be very careful about supporting people who use inflammatory language as their weapon of choice.

Sure it will get people talking and draw attention but once people catch on to what is being said it can and often will back fire.

Mind you Im not sure I would call Milo Alt Right (because frankly its a buzzword at this point that basically means "someone I dont like) but looking at exactly what he did, publically name and shame a transgender person, I cant get with that.

(I brought this up because Ive people praise him around here before.)

Let's champion what we agree on so the people who said the things learn from that rather than trying to eject people. He' probably totally MRA on every issue but his bread is buttered from the conservative base (he writes for Breitbart)which has a strong religious element and therefore he needs to cater to that above all else.

In general it's basically political suicide to ID as a MRA on either side of the political spectrum so you won't see any mainstream political figure doing that anytime soon.

This is EVERYONE.... you will find people in every walk of life, in every job, in every place where you will agree with or side with some things they say/ do / believe.. and where you will not agree with or side with other things those same people say/ do/ believe.
