How do you men feel about being lectured to by a 16 yo girl who doesn't follow her own rules? Condescended yet!

Joined her father's business. Models for a workwear line.

How many of the hundreds of thousands of girls inspired by her have become a bricklayer?

This always reminds me of the clip where Peterson says if feminism isn't just about power but equality, then where are all the female brick layers!

RadFems: "Representation matters!"

Average Women: "oh, wait... you mean we actually have to build walls!?!?"

This woman: I build walls, even though some people think they're Xenophobic.

A long long time ago. In a galaxy far far away.......meaning pre 2015 "The View". I was a Fan of Whoopi Goldberg. She had some good movies and I liked her as Guinin on Star Trek The Next Generation.

Anyway, before Acting, she started out as a brick mason. I was surprised.

Though as a host on "The View" her personality, and my dislike of her has driven off a cliff.

Clickbait.

The comment they used as proof is something like "well that's the most unattractive thing I saw a woman do today". If there were so many negative comments, they would've added them to the article.

As for the other comments that she works slowly..well, that's what I thought too, it's just true. Not because she's a woman, but because she literally worked slowly in the video they posted there.

Anyway, seems like it's not a thing, just "edgy" modern "journalism".

Bravo.

[–]LoopyPro 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm glad that for once equality is shown as more women doing blue collar work like bricklaying instead of only going for manager/leader positions.

Load of crap! Looks like a thinly veiled ad to get her more followers. And perhaps a lame attempt to get a bunch of simps to tell her how pretty she is.

[–]bottleblank 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Cool, so where are the pieces about the inspirational men becoming nurses?

[–]BeepBeepYeah7789 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I look at pink hard hats the same way I look at those pink tool sets:

Desperate marketing/pandering.

[–]CawlinAlcarz 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have NO ISSUE whatsoever with women doing these sorts of trades jobs.

Obviously, I assume that they're able to do them with the same skill as the average man doing the job.

I don't care if you aren't strong enough to lift 200 lbs of bricks at once, but you need to be fast enough to get as many put down in a day, as straight and plumb and correctly as a man does with the same amount of help that a man has.

As for the rest of the article, I think it's just a nothingburger. As was noted below, where are the articles about the inspirational male nurses or male kindergarten teachers?

[–]No-Knowledge-8867 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I mean sure good on her for doing it. I don't know if doing a job should be so inspirational as too get 200k followers and how ever many million likes but whatever, I guess women doing work is still inspiring to some. I do grow tired of the "they're just threatened by successful boss babes/they're emasculated by empowered women" trope though. I don't think too many men are going to feel emasculated by a 5"2' woman. They're probably just annoyed that you get celebrated as a hero for doing a job, probably a job that they might have been doing for years. And probably a job that's had them looked down on for doing. But I don't expect the type of people that write these bs puff pieces to have much perspective.

[–]JacktheRipperColour[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably glad to see a woman doing a real job for equal pay. I mean there only ever after positions of power, then use that to complain. It just shows what a take over there trying to pull. Imo

[–]JustSomeYukoner 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The people calling her unattractive have probably never worked a real job a day in their life.

I think she’s damn fine looking, and she probably makes a boatload of money to boot.

[–]United_Guard_1625 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I say good for her and hope more women become bricklayers! I also support women not receiving gender specific chivalry and more women in support of it! If she can do it all women can do it!!

[–]Grizzleswitch 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have nothing but respect for her. At least she is doing a hard job and not trying to force equaloty of the boardroom only.

[–]Starmind0 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

People who say "it's a man's job" are disgusting. They're basically saying men are supposed to do the hardest and dirtiest jobs.

[–]JacktheRipperColour[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Well traditional they have, and most women tend to choose clerical or care work, which is still a tough job, but not dangerous thus less pay.

[–]Starmind0 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Tradition is not a reason, and nothing will be. Men aren't "meant to do dirty work".

[–]JacktheRipperColour[S] -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Slot of it comes down to physical differences between man and women.

[–]Starmind0 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Physical differences have absolutely nothing to do with "roles". Do you happen to be a traditionalist?

[–]JacktheRipperColour[S] -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Of course they are. That's why there's not many female brick layer, upper body strength. Why do you think we have separate athletic events???

[–]Starmind0 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You're a clown. There are more male brick layers because of perpetuated sexist cycles that put men down to do the dirty work. What you said is as stupid as a white person saying "black people are factually inferior, why else are they enslaved everywhere?". Fuck off with your traditionalism. This is men's rights sub, not gender roles. I already know what you think of feminine men.

Ok. Have a good rest of the day

[–]A69dupere1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Get back in the kitchen

[–]JacktheRipperColour[S] -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Hey, you'll get locked up for that lol She'll make you a brick sandwich

[–]A69dupere -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She won’t have time for that because she’ll be doing laundry next

[–]JacktheRipperColour[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Overalls??

[–]A69dupere 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or socks, whatever needs washing and ironing

[–]Viesegel1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Is she a bricklayer or a tiktok star making videos of her laying bricks in cute outfits ? That part was not clear to me.

[–]JacktheRipperColour[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She's a bricky apparently. But I don't believe for one minute the others are complaining, that's total spin. I mean they spend half the day wolf whistling women, who's ladbible trying to fool. The one comment you can see in the image, is actually a reply to a man not from one!
