You could look at that way, or you could look at it more realistically and say unattractive women get reassured that there's more to them than looks, whereas unattractive men have no value and are dangerous and creepy.

When a guy is ugly no one cares as long as he is wealthy or confident and healthy.

There is a difference in how women and men are judged but in this regard men have it better than women.

The remark about women's soul is partly a consolation for less attractive women but also a recognition that many attractive women are shallow, self obsessed and destructive to those around them.

When a guy is ugly you look at his car and bank account. When a woman is ugly you look for the beauty within while hoping you're a high enough value man to find someone prettier or that you like. FTFY

On a serious note , depending on what a guy wants looks rarely matter. Women generally can't say the same. I guess that's changing though

Being an attractive man is more difficult. Even if you are good looking, social skills play a much bigger role in what makes a man attractive. The same can be said for the less physically attractive women. I've found myself attracted to a girl's personality a number of times

Hot girls have got it easy, though. There's no arguing with that
