You have a problem with manspreading. I have a problem with seat hogging. You dont need to make everything a gender issue.

The terms mansplaining and manspreading are so 2012 they are an embarrassment to the feminist movement, proving many of it's enemies correct as feminism is anti-male.

Feminists don't care about manspreading. No one does other than people that are offended by it.

[–]TextDependent6779 45 points46 points47 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

other than people that are offended by it.

i mean, the fact someone made a chair would prove this wrong as im guessing those people offended you refer to are people who hate the very notion, and not people who are offended by the act.

that's excluding the fact im pretty sure spain illegalised manspreading so...

[–]AnFGhoster 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If that were true femmies wouldn't have made it a huge deal to begin with.

[–]MancunianMuffin 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They love it when a man spreads butter on toast and serves it them in bed.

[–]Starmind0 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Who created the term and definition? Let me tell you, it's not the people who are "offended by it".

[–]Vanriel 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

See I usually do this, unless the train or bus I am currently on I'd getting crowded and then I remove the item to my lap.

If I am on the other side of the situation, i.e. the person who wants a seat I would politely say to the individual "excuse me, would you mind moving your bag so I can sit down?"

Only had one person in the entire time I have used public transport kick off about that.

[–]Yo-boi-Pie 22 points23 points24 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Fun Fact: I’ve had to stand on the bus because of this and I’m not tall enough to reach that bar thingy and so I may or may not have flown when the bus stopped… results: a bruise

[–]JoyousCreeper 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Height isn't an issue with the poles, that's why they reach to the ground

[–]Yo-boi-Pie 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

My bus doesn’t have them, it’s stupid as hell but we just have to deal with it

[–]JoyousCreeper 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That seems like something you can take up with the operator, or even your local government

[–]_totally_toasted_[S] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

im guessing if hes in a bus that doesnt have a pole, that hes somehwere in india/asia, and trust me.. no government here gives a flying fuck about public transportation

[–]JoyousCreeper 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Simple, gat a bunch of people together and abolish the government

[–]PaulfussKrile 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The “manspreading” issue is also just overblown. Yes, some men spread their legs a little too much, but if that’s the problem, just tell them that you need space! You can be nice about it instead of making it a national crisis, especially when we have actual issues going on. We have widespread poverty, gang violence, mass incarcerations, we might be at war with China or Russia if not both of them in ten years or so!

[–]maxlvb 48 points49 points50 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

When any feminist/woman tells me to stop manspreading, I just tell them it’s my body, my choice Then I just smile as they realise it's equality, but not as they want it.

[–]maxlvb 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Unfortunately, although your comment was indeed clear, simple, and straightforward, there is some difficulty in justifiably assigning to it the fourth of the epithets you applied to the statement, inasmuch as the precise correlation between the information you communicated and the facts, insofar as they can be determined and demonstrated, is such as to cause epistemological problems of sufficient magnitude as to lay upon the logical and semantic resources of the English language a heavier burden than they can reasonably be expected to bear.

[–]majestic_tapir 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

well then you get alot money for assault cases and from the compony for not stepping in sooner throwing something out of a seat that was not necisary to be there is not illegal

[–]TFME1 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Man-Spreading actually has science behind it. Heat diminishes/kills semen production. Want children? Shut up about man-spreading. Then you'll be able to conceive children. If you don't want children, then I guess you don't have a "horse in that race".

This is why I don't take my life-advice from activist teenagers (in fact, some never grow past this), no matter how many times people robotically say, "But...They're the future!" They're also missing decades of life-experience and are patently idealistic (and supposedly "indestructible" of you ask them).

Everyone starts out as an "intellectual moron", known as infancy/childhood, until there's decades of education and life-experience. These 2 create "wisdom". If either ones missing, "wisdom" is rarely ever achieved.

[–]DianeticDelight 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is a perfect example, OP. The scope is much broader, this can be applied to a lot of hyper-feminist rethoric. It really bothers me when an [Asshat] problem is made a [Men] problem.

[–]_totally_toasted_[S] 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

fucking fax., not everything is a fucking gender issue. there are normal people and dumbasses. Dont blame men for the actions of dumbasses, and we wont blame women for the actions of the psycho-feminists.

[–]Arcanisia 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I always ask them to move their bag. I had one guy who tried to ignore me acting like he didn’t hear me so I moved his backpack onto his lap and sat down.

[+]SuperStateSamBamCam -10 points-9 points-8 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I probably would have beaten you with my backpack for touching my stuff.

[–]Arcanisia 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I guarantee you wouldn’t. You may get upset and shout but I doubt you’d risk getting your ass beat and or catch a case over a backpack.

[+]SuperStateSamBamCam -9 points-8 points-7 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

There's no risk with you. You're just a punk.

[–]Ready_Inevitable2718 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Funny how the moment it's a guy hogging the seat it's completely ok and you're a punk for touching their stuff.

[–]SapperChimo 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Walk up to her and say "Move your bag" and then sit. She'll get up and leave.

[–]judasfire 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Just come to Europe , apparently if you're a man you always have to give a seat to a woman , if you don't everyone gives the evil eye. Its like the seats are not meant for men to use , the women own the seats.

Sometimes women will even stand right next to your face , to hint that you are "obliged" to give a place for her to sit down , they don't do that to their fellow women though.

One time I had this same exact situation in a bus , the woman had her bag just like this , and the seat next to her was empty , I told her nicely can you please move the bag so I can sit here , with a confused face she told can you find somewhere else to sit I don't wanna move my bag , I insisted I wanted to sit there , and the whole ride she was pushing her arms into me , just so I can feel uncomfortable and get up...

Crazy shit with some females in this world...

[–]Aspiengineer 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I lived in France and Germany, and this is false.

It is considered polite to give your seat to pregnant women, the elderly (including men), disabled,... like almost everywhere, but we don't live in the 19th century anymore.

[–]judasfire 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with pregnant women , elderly and disabled , but I'm talking about entitled women who feel the need to disturb men's personal space in public whenever they please and especially in public transport , and feel like men "owe" them something everytime , while they don't do the same in the name of equality.

I've seen men look miserably tired going home from work , who wanted a place to sit , men who have some health issues or even elderly trying to sit somewhere , and the seats were mostly filled by young women who didn't even bother giving a seat to them , just because they are "women" and don't have to do shit about anything.

[–]_totally_toasted_[S] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

France and Germany is not the entirety of Europe

[–]TryingToLearn_17382 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I am European and we aren't obligated.

[–]judasfire 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm talking about certain countries in Europe , mostly Eastern Europe where women think they are goddesses and everyone else is a shit stain around them and owes them something. Eastern Europe is a curse for men.

[–]Beneficial_Round_444 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Which country to be specific?

[–]judasfire 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

All countries in Eastern Europe are a curse for men , men are a minority there and are treated like second class citizens. I've been there as a tourist before many times.

[–]Beneficial_Round_444 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I literally live here, it is bad, but not THAT bad

[–]judasfire 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No , Eastern Europe is a shithole and a graveyard for men.

[–]Desperate_Western894 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is not true. It might be common curtesy to give your seat to elder, little child, disabled, pregnant, but no to woman for the sake of her womanhood

[–]SuperStateSamBamCam 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually... let's make it a gender issue! Women 'womanvade' seats as a way to show men who's in charge in public spaces, to intimidate men and procure our submission. It's all part of the complex, ubiquitous system of domination and control that is the matriarchy.

[–]tbmepm 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I think the big problem these feminists doesn't understand is that we have a dick and balls. The testicles are extremely sensitive to pressure and heat and change size and sensitivity a lot over the day. If they get to much heat and/or to much pressure it can lead to pain and infertility. That's why men automatically start to spread their legs when the body recognizes the need too. Women want acceptance of their bodily disadvantages, and if they are fair they have to recognize the need of "manspreading". If it were the other way 'round and man would complain about women having to do this to prevent them from pain and infertility, there would be a big backlash. "Don't tell us how to sit. My body. My fertility."

[–]JoyousCreeper -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

"Women want acceptance of their bodily disadvantages." Women don't have any bodily disadvantages

[–]tbmepm 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

They do. For example: They get pregnant. This cost a lot of energy and they have to be careful to not hurt the kid. Usually they are not able to work for a couple of months.

Around once a month they have menstruation. The majority of women say they have pain in that time, are less productive, have a worse mood and are quickly emotional.

Their body is significantly often weaker than mens. On top of that they have more sick days.

The boobs makes the equilibrium point off center, resulting in slower running speed and limits the movement.

[–]JoyousCreeper -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Ok, first off, you said "they have more sick days" they only have more sick days because a man is only allowed to have a sick day when he has an extreme temperature.

Secondly, pregnancy can be avoided with a simple pill, but if a woman rapes a man, he has no say in the matter, and will have to pay child support for the rest of his life. (Not to mention that in most places a man being raped isn't recognized by the government)

[–]tbmepm 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Offtopic.

[–]JoyousCreeper -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What part of that is off topic?

[–]tbmepm 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

This post isn't about the amount of sick days, neither it is about rape.

So it is offtopic.

I think you just hate women. In that case this subreddit is not for you. It is for speaking about male rights and male discrimination, not about denying that women do also experience discrimination. We have to realize gender discrimination on a holistic view. And our goal is to remind those who think discrimination is only against females that this isn't true. On the same note it is important to recognize discrimination against females exists too. Stop your hatred and try to be objective and scientific. Hate only creates more hate. Don't become like those you want to fight.

[–]JoyousCreeper 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I don't, I'm just saying that men have it worse in almost every way.

[–]tbmepm 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And this is exactly the reason you are wrong. Women do get discrimination. But it's not that easy. Man and women do get different kinds of discrimination, and even with best efforts this won't be able to be compensated in the full extent. It is important to talk about the problems males have, that is why I am active here. But don't forget the other sex. And fight the bullshit claimes both sides extremists have.

There is an important rule to everything : If it feels easy/simple, it isn't.

You are on a wrong way. We can only fight discrimination of men if we fight it for women as well. And the other way 'round. The problem is, that most feminist also doesn't understand this.

I looked into your activity on reddit. You need to learn that the person you need to question the most is yourself. Human brains are not able to think objectively, but it makes us think we do. Break your pre-made views and disprove them, while proving the side you oppose. That is the only way you can become proficient in diskussions. And basic principle of discussion is easy: You can only change the opinion of the other side, if you are able to change your opinion too.

Discussions aren't for converting others to your opinion. They are used to help making up an opinion. You have won a discussion if you are able to change the view of someone. And you are successful if you have changed your own on the way.

Stop your hate. Try to be better than them. Try to accept the complexity.

[–]JoyousCreeper 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't hate women, I just hate the people that have been putting me down, and it just so happens to mostly be women, I've been taught my whole life that men are less than anything else, we need to open doors for women, stand when they enter the room, and be nice to them, and I've never gotten any niceness in return.

[–]JoyousCreeper 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
