Asked in AITA and got mixed responses.

The summary is that while leaving a club with friends a random girl jumped into my car without saying a word. I know of this girl and assume she lives somewhere around us but I don’t know her. Ultimately I kicked her out because it would be too much of a hassle and risk taking care of a drunk stranger on top of the other drunks I had. I got mixed responses:

Some where saying I was in the wrong because she was a vulnerable woman and as a man it’s my responsibility to make sure she’s safe.

Other responses where saying I’m not responsible for a stranger regardless of gender and the responsibility was on her and her friends wherever they were.

Someone presented a good question asking “If the situation was reversed, what do you think she would’ve done?”

So my question to this sub is (outside personal actions)

  1. How much responsibility do you think men have to protect women?

  2. How much responsibility do you think women have to protect men?

To avoid debating I’m not going to respond unless you ask a specific question but will simply upvote to let you know I read your response
