If someone is with what you judge to be a "3", it suggests they they have different taste to you, and dont see their partner the same way as you do. We all value different things in relationships and that's okay, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with anyone else.

How do you not know its the opposite direction? Looks are a 10, but they are a bit of a bum, but the 3 they are with is a millionaire entrepreneur with an IQ of 1000 and are hilarious with multiple hobbies and interest they are passionate about?

Hmmmm but your scale of how attractive the partner is could be different than how others view them. You might think the partner is a 3/10 but he/she might consider them a 6. Like my sister‘s husband is not my type at all so I would think he is like a 4 on a good day but he is exactly what she wanted in a man so for her he could be like a 9/10. Who’s to say which of us is correct?

I disagree. I think it is a shallow way of looking at people. I liked intelligent men. When I was young I was definitely better looking than my bf. It was no big deal to me. He was smart and cuddly and not ugly. He looked better with facial hair.

People should stop evaluating people so much on looks. Intelligence, personality and a good heart can be all part of an amazing mix.

People choose partners for countless reasons that have nothing to do with being equally hot or secretly believing they’re a 3. The only person whose character this reveals is yours.

Perhaps consider judging people by the quality of their actual character (the complex of mental and ethical traits marking and often individualizing a person)…

Likely to be a more reliable metric than your subjective rating of their and their partners relative physical appearance.
