https://www.kcl.ac.uk/news/almost-a-third-of-gen-z-men-agree-a-wife-should-obey-her-husband

In the previous decades younger generations were more progressive than older generations.

In this research this thread is observed. Young people more often agree that women should obey men. This misogynistic claim is taken to the title, but only one third think so. There are other trends observed: about two thirds agreed with the claim that "men are expected to do too much for equality" and "we did so much for equality we started discriminating against men".

Another research, this is by Yougov:

https://yougov.com/en-gb/articles/51745-are-you-a-feminist-it-depends-how-you-ask

While just 35% of Britons identify as a feminist, 83% believe men and women should be equal in every way

Claiming that feminism and gender equality are literal synonyms is something that almost 50% disagree with. They support latter, but not former. There is no constructive response to them, reaction is calling these 48% stupid sexist who don't understand "what is real feminism".

In the threads here I see a lot of people excusing bigotry against men because supposedly women endured discrimination and thus they have right to hate men, but not vice versa. This basically feminist theory that explains why there is no systemic sexism against men, misandry is not real - because men are privileged in patriarchy and can't be discriminated on the basis of gender. This philosophy is inherently sexist and it is in the core of the modern intersectional feminism. People that claim that any gender equality is essentially feminism - omit this. They excuse sexism and bigotry against men. They defend sexist policies and legislation. They defend double standards (men shouldn't be offended when women hate men, but not vice versa), policies like Duluth model, LIVG in Spain and other sexist practices. They bring Afghanistan women as an example of Patriarchy but ignore Ukrainian and Russian men sent to slaughter, denied right to emigrate and seek refugee status in EU.

If there were no double standards and sexism in feminism - people wouldn't turn away from it. Backlash and returning to archaic/conservative/misogynist views is absolutely the self inflicted defeat of the modern feminists who tainted the ideal of gender equality and lost the moral high-ground.
