Anyone initiating a debate like this should clarify what they mean by “left” because it’s usually (and this post is no exception) used instead of “liberal” despite them being completely different, and often opposing, ideologies.

There is no “left” media - there are liberal corporate media outlets. The Democrats are not a left-wing party - they are a fucking liberal party. Do not use left/leftist when you mean liberal.

I think you need to make the distinction between the left and the Democratic Party. Because a Bernie Sanders left agenda is more helpful to men and women, but what the Democratic Party offers is not. And then there’s also the thing that leftists are so annoying that even when I agree with them on economic concepts, that are much better for everyone. I don’t want to listen to women complaining about how someone made them feel bad and they want them canceled or even worse. This person holds one bad view so we can’t work with them on all the things we agree with them on. Men aren’t dumb, if a pro labor, economic populous was allowed to run on the national stage. Men would listen and be suede. But if you’re not talking to us at best or actively hostile towards us. We’re gonna go to where we’re treated like humans.

It’s pretty simple. Republicans won this time because their ideological war was based on the wishes of the majority (white men and women) as opposed to Democrats, who seem to only honor the wishes and needs of narrow minorities, like undocumented transsexual black Muslim lesbians. Okay, I say the last one in jest, but honestly, it’s not too far from the truth. Liberal policies in their desire to be inclusive and equitable, actually end up saying some people are more equal than others. And if you are an underrepresented minority you are more equal than others, especially law abiding, tax paying citizens of a certain gender and skin color. It was just a really bad strategy based on a losing ideology.
