I also get frustrated by people who think that it's simply up to male allies to call out those men who are sexist or disrespectful of women. While this approach can have some positive effect, I believe that many cisgender women overestimate its potential. First off, it essentially makes the "nice guys" responsible for policing the "assholes". This overlooks the fact that in the heterosexual mainstream, "assholes" are seen as higher up in the social pecking order than "nice guys". As a result, a "nice guy" calling out an "asshole" about how he needs to be more respectful of women tends to have as much societal clout as if the geeky girl in class were to lecture the cheerleaders about how they shouldn't play dumb and giggle at every joke the popular boys make.

Textbook definition of how RP'ers view BP'ers. Calling RP'ers assholes is laughable. We don't care for the approval of weak betas. We care about what makes women aroused.

The rest of the article is pretty interesting. She clearly recognizes the obvious Nice Guy/Asshole disparity when it comes to sexual success, but provides no solution except mind control. Make women not want assholes, make women aroused by nice guy behaviour. It's so laughably naive.

Being an asshole gets you much more success than being a genuinely nice guy. Straight out of a transgendered feminists mouth.

Society can 'shame' whatever it wants. Apparently we live in a period of slut shaming, yet at the same time being a slut is endorsed in all forms of popular culture...

Forget what society says, just do the best you can with the cards dealt. Yeah, women my age who are datable are typically 'reformed' sluts. For that reason I don't date above 25. Playing the cards I'm dealt is all.

This reminds me of communism, in a way. You know, despite the irrefutable proof that humans are selfish by nature, they tried to forcefully create a system where everyone is essentially an altruist.

They tried that many times. It didn't work in the slightest, not even once.

Of course society should criticize women when their behavior creates more incentive for people to be selfish jerks. But good luck getting that to happen in the current cultural climate. Any attack on women at all, however justified, is going to get you crucified by SJWs atm.

No. She's generalizing. Many women are repulsed by assholes. Say "some women" go for assholes and I'll agree. What of it? "Some men" go for assholes as well.

I don't totally disagree. TRP wouldn't exist or need to exist if sleeping around was considered as much of a taboo as having sex with goats. Because the ratio of men and women is fairly 50-50, this would mean everyone would wind up with someone else, no 80/20 rule, etc. But of course, many societies have attempted this and it never turns out well because it goes against people's fundamental nature. I personally believe that men are just as disloyal and hypergamous as women. Human nature isn't good. We're kind of hard wired to be jerks.

Personally, I can say that I've undergone self-improvement to be the kind of woman that men are attracted to, because I don't expect to change society. It's probably a more realistic endeavor to just change yourself. That said, this can be done without all the hateful, illogical vitriol that goes on over at TRP.

It's a good article. It highlights one of the problems with feminism: it "challenges" existing behaviours by "shaming" bad behaviours it doesn't want, like men going after bimbos.

Problem is, men still go after bimbos.

It takes much stronger frameworks than feminism (which is mostly shaped around telling women TO do what they want, not vice versa) to overcome the innate female lust for the stereotypical alpha bad-boy.

I didn't read the whole thing, but on page 233 she mentions that some of her friends were crushed if the guy pushed things too far sexually. She's talking about teens, though, so I don't know what it means for women of legal age.

I think it's a great article.

I think the crux of the article rests upon women presenting themselves as sexual objects and expecting they will be the prey and men will be the predators. And this is a definite issue. Feminism works to tell women you don't have to be a sex object to get by in this world. Instead, it's better to do things to improve your life - career, doing 'boy' things like sport etc.

The only criticism I'd have is that she's equating 'asshole' with 'sexually aggressive' with 'lots of teasing that makes girls laugh'.

Most women don't like assholes. Girls like sex. They like guys who like sex. They like teasing.

I don't believe that most like assholes. She gives an example of the guy who went from a 'nice guy' to a guy who teases girls a lot and is confident and makes his sexuality known. Fair enough.

Then she gives an example of that same girl touching girls in nightclubs, with those girls having no idea who touched them. She didn't say he groped girls and those girls were aroused and thought that was great. No, because that wouldn't happen.

Its funny that those are your takeaways from an article whose central premise is that the conceptual male/female dominant/supplicant alpha-beta/virgin-whore dichotomy that TRP wholeheartedly supports and believes is inherent in humans is fundamentally wrong, socially conditioned, and worse than that, is the cause of half of the evils that TRP rails against.

As with many men, once Eric began disrespecting women on a regular basis, the lines between flirting and harassment, between sex and violation, between consensual and nonconsensual, became blurred or unimportant to him.

In many ways this article draws the link between some of the genuine truths red pill points out and rape culture. In effect, red pill strategies ARE rape culture in action.

People generally conflate boorish, bullying, arrogant behavior for leadership. Why should women be any different to the men in caucus who elected Tony Abbott to be the leader of the liberal party?
