Every time I browse this subreddit and people talk about the best way to get women is to be confident when talking to or just being around women, because that's all women care about and they don't even care about looks. But nobody ever seems to talk about what that actually means. People say just "be yourself" or be authentic, but that really doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things and is also a pretty vague statement. So in your mind what is the criteria for somebody being confident? What actions do they exhibit? Also be specific as possible and give examples with your criteria.

Note: The reason for this discussion is to talk about what confidence actually means because a lot of people its seems use confidence as a proxy for other immutable characteristics. Since when people talk about not having confidence, people talk about men who look down at the floor when talking to people or don't maintain eye contact, which I don't think the majority of men do that. However they are still called unconfident.
