A common post is "Is 'X' a right?", or "should 'X' be a right?".

Let me define what a right is.

"A right is a promise to do violence on behalf of those who refuse to do it for themselves."

I really think that people in general do not realize this, and until we as a group understand what a 'right' even is there is little point asking questions about them.
