What's the difference between slut-shaming, age-gap shaming, and gold-digger shaming?

Everyone hates to see someone whose clever and attractive waste themselves on a loser.

We all cheered for the guy who married a gold digger when they got divorced. He got his life back from the clutches of that harpy. Similar to the woman who married the low life. She's depressed, we're all cheering.

We care for these people, we want the best for them.

There might be some differences but it boils down to the fact that once rules are imposed, the violation of these is frowned upon even when the rule has no reason to exist or to be applied to a particular case. Provided that precaussions have been taken and cheating haven't occured, there nothing bad about some casual sex. It is perfectly understandable that most people don't dream of committing to women that take sex too casually, but this goes both ways. Most women don't want a player either. Problem is that in most of the cases slut shaming is directed at females, possibly the result of years of female sexual opression, and "justified" by bio-truths, when biology doesn't support double standards. A promiscuous woman is very risky to invest in because of possible paternity issues, meanwhile a promiscuous man is untrustworthy because he has no attachment to women he sleeps with, hence leaving the babies fatherless. That said, I have nothing against promiscuous people but I can't bring myself to respect a hypocrite. Many women that slut shame engage in that same kind of behavior they despise; many men that shame, sleep around themselves, don't accept sluts as dating material, but expect their women to save themselves and accept a "man" who puts his dick in every available hole.

Age shaming might have originated in the fact that a much older person can easily take advantage of their partner. However, if their both adults I see no reason to frown upon this kind or relationship.

Golddiggers are seen the way they are because there is a presumption she is taking advange of the unsuspecting male. In some cases it might be true and I don't condone it. In other cases, the man already knows what the woman is up to but he doesn't mind because he believes that it's a man's job to give resources to a woman. I wouldn't enter a relationship like that, but if two consentig adults decide so, i don't see the problem.

I believe slut-shaming is likely rooted in religious views against having sex outside of marriage.

Gold-digger shaming may also be rooted in religion, since it involves deception and lying (i.e. pretending to love someone when the real motive is monetary).

Age-gap shaming is the odd one out, since there's at least the potential for true love between two human beings, even if the age gap may be wide. There is no religious prohibition against it, as long as the two are married and there's no actual deception or lying involved.

Age shaming and Gold digger shaming are more or less two sides of the same coin. The assumption is the man is only after some tight pretty young thing, with no concern for her mind or spirit, and the woman is after so poor old saps money with no genuine affection or desire for the man. Both come from an arrogance that says we know better what an individual wants/needs than that individual. Also a strict romantic belief that if sex isn't for 'love', it's somehow illegitimate.

Slut shaming - shaming women who choose to sleep with multiple men then demand equal respect when it comes to relationships and being LTR material? I say tell her she made poor choices and show her how swallowing random cock faster than a hot dog eating competition is not good for relationships. If she doesn't want any LTRs, then no worries.

Age-gap shaming - Young woman older man? They're not doing anything wrong if they're both adults. Society is going to complain so they have to expect some shaming. If they complain about it, tell them "Well, what did you expect?".

Gold-digger shaming - If she misled him and took all his money, he might be an idiot, but he was deceived. Cut him some slack but remind him to vet the women a bit more. He is also to blame because he allowed it to happen. Relationships can destroy lives as much as they can improve and add to them. Nothing wrong with telling her she's a gold digger and that even though she's rich, she is morally bankrupt.

Slut Shaming - also used on virgins and rape survivors, it's a great way to punish someone for exploring their sexuality with someone besides you. It's also a favorite of hypocrites with low impulse control.

Age gap shaming - because we need to punish older people for the crime of looking older, and young people for not yet having the wisdom and maturity that may come with age. In theory, it's there to protect the younger partner from predation: we much prefer our predators to be the same age as their prey. It's much more sporting that way.

Gold digger shaming - just because two people figured out the loophole in anti-prostitution law, doesn't mean that society's going to look the other way. May overlap with the other two forms of shaming, and it's a great way to throw in some class prejudice, as well.

They are all different behaviors. There's plenty of debate about what is acceptable and unacceptable, and different criteria for each. You can say that all of these promote degenerate behavior (though that's becoming a hollow buzz word). I prefer to shame based on how ethical it is, and if they have wronged someone. I wouldn't slut shame on the grounds no one is hurt. With gold diggers and age gaps, there is the real possibility that someone is being taken advantage of. Of course everyone had a right to free speech, and while I might not agree with some types of shaming, I don't think that shaming should be censored.

I'm not sure (I don't really keep up with current cultural norms) but I think Western men who go to Asia to wife-up a SE-Asian girl is getting pretty heavily shamed too.

An interesting observation I've made is that Americans tend to go to The Phillipines, Europeans to Thailand.
