My male friends don't take arguments so far. They usually devolve into some form of joking/banter. When they do, they're open to being wrong.

Maybe more common but guys do it too.
I used to have a good friend who would do that kind of shit all the time. He would argue until he won even when he knew for a fact he was wrong but he would always twist the argument to make it look like you were just being petty about something insignificant. He also liked to finish argument with things like
I'm obviously right because such and such but whatever, it's not like this is an important thing to be arguing about anyways so we're done here.

I think the often understated factor in all of this is that women complain about salary differences and a lot of other things. Reality is, men face the same damn things only we just fucking deal with it. We are SOOO privileged because we have penis'....yeah right.
