Don't ever trust random women bois. I'm serious. It's perfectly okay to not speak to someone about intimate and personal things until you feel completely comfortable and trusting enough to do so.
Probably going to get called a misogynist or sexist or something, but I am just giving my personal experience and perspective. I love all women, and have many women in my life that I admire and cherish.
Many women out there don't actually care about your personal problems or care about the shit men go through everyday. They just want emotional ammunition in case the relationship doesn't work out. Many women (not all of them) are just emotionally manipulative that way. They will literally beg you to open up, but as soon as you get into an argument/disagreement and they don't get their way, they will use whatever you told them against you.
Can't even recall how many times I have seen this in real life. It's happened to me a couple of times as well. The feeling of disgust/betrayal/anger you feel in this moment is indescribable. But learn to breathe and walk away if it ever happens to you.
You're going to get a lot of shit from a lot of women for having this perspective/mentality. But I can personally guarantee it's better to break up with a girl and find someone who is patient and understanding, than to trust the wrong person and have your heart ripped out and shit on.
P.S. If she doesn't wait for you to open up at your own pace, she's doesn't really love you, and doesn't really want a relationship with you, she just wants a warm body and free meals. When a woman really loves you, truly admires you, and cherishes being with you, she will wait as long as she has to for you to open up.

Never forget that it goes both ways, men can be just as emotionally abusive and manipulative as women. Generally in the form of gaslighting or being dismissive. Remember that a relationship is a partnership. When there is a problem in front of any relationship, it needs to be us vs the problem and not me vs you. That is one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned.
Another one, is to be vulnerable and appeal to the human. Women are emotional creatures and so are men. A lot of times that a women gets pushed so far that she is bringing up stuff from the past, it’s because she’s trying to get a response out of a man who isn’t even listening to her. I do not intend for this to come across as victim blaming, but moreso I want to say that if we are all cognizant of our communication strategies, we can actually avoid a conflict ever getting to this level of intensity.
The main thing you have to do is be vulnerable. If you can appeal to the emotional side - by saying “my feelings are hurt and here is why - because I love you and you are important to me and it hurts when someone who is important to me is berating me and belittling me. I shared these insecurities with you in confidence and now you are using them against me and it’s very hurtful” (I mean not exactly like that but you get the point)
If they continue to be rude and evil after that, then it’s time to just go. You just did the mature thing and tried to have an adult conversation. You explained why it was hurtful and wrong, and if they aren’t willing to admit fault and apologize, grow from it, and learn from it, then you really really need to get out of that relationship.
My girlfriend would literally NEVER do or say anything to intentionally hurt my feelings. This is huge - everything in life to me is about intentions. You have to have good intentions. Think to yourself before you argue with someone, “what are my intentions,” and if the answer isn’t to have a productive conversation then YOU need to re-evaluate.
I tend to take the path of being non-combative because I genuinely think that you can solve problems WAY better this way, and leads to more healthy relationships.
Sorry u/ChiakiCinnamonRoll, this is just general stuff on my mind and has little to do with your actual comment lmao

Likewise mate, only thing to remember is when you find someone who does the things that are normal, make sure you take the time to remind yourself, "no, that's not weird, that's what normal people do to other normal people when they like each other. What was 'weird' was what you had to put up with before"

They pretty much all do. It’s a defense mechanism they pick up from each other. The difference is, we aren’t prepared for it. women among their friends, typically stock pile secrets and insecurities like it’s an arms war. They use mutually assured destruction with each other. We just get nuked.

Men just go in and use infantry in line battles like the good old days that you can see from miles away. Just force on force.
Women go in and destabilize whole governments and fuck them up internally before they even know what happened and how to respond.

Maybe im just lucky or good at dating but my last 2 were exceptional relationships that ended mutually. My current, going on 5, is exceptional. None of that happened to me. Like, zero times was anything held against me and i can count on one hand how many times we fought in all 3 relationships.
If you're fighting, you are already doing bad. If my g/f is upset, shell come over and say, hey, opsuxdick, I'm upset because I have been putting the toothpaste and brush back where it belongs the laast 5 days and its annoying. My last 2 were like that as well. One is still a very close friend of mine and my current g/f. I think you guys just dated shitty women.
[–]Somber_Solace 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Same here, I'm patient to meet the right person and so far my instincts haven't lead me astray. I'm still at least casual friends with literally all of my exes and the 2 longest ones I keep up with just as much as any other friend. Some of the relationships ended poorly but that's just from immaturity on both sides, after getting past that hump I always felt it worth it to keep up, I did still care about them more than any other stranger at least. But I have friends who are like that and have friends who have dated people like that, I know those people exist. My optomistic assumption is that it's caused by some kind of trauma, I don't like to believe that vindictive traits like that can just be genetic.
[–]OPsuxdick 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If we go down that rabbit hole, men are just as bad. While we're not drama heavy, we abuse physically and emotionally just as much as women. Gas lighting is a big one. Sometimes without even meaning to. This whole topic is kind of dumb, honestly. Some people grow up. Some dont. Try to grow and see the signs beforehand but genralizing does no good.

This is 100% my mom’s favorite tactic when she feeds her compulsive need to antagonize me for fucking existing. I don’t think I’ve had a conversation of substance with her since I was a young teenager for this reason. All of her “ammo” comes from things I could’ve never kept her from knowing, like my dad’s unexpected death last year, losing my job from covid, failed relationships (eg. girl is around a lot and then suddenly is not), etc.

Of course people will think you’re misogynistic, it’s something negative about women. That automatically makes you an incel and misogynistic piece of shit in their eyes.
I’ve noticed this myself a great deal in my life though. Every girl i’ve met so far that i actually opened up too, ended up just using every little detail against me in ANY argument. She could have started an argument about absolutely anything and 2 minutes later she’s using my mental health or whatever else i’ve told her as ammunition in a completely unrelated argument.
I’m 26 and have not yet met a single girl who i’ve actually opened up too and that hasn’t done this too me.
They talk about men getting physical with other men as this extremely toxic masculine trait. However men actually make their issues with each other known, have a fight and can be best friends after. Their problems are now solved and in the past. They will be friends or just move on.
Women however lack the physical strength so they’ve learnt to just use words to seriously fuck people up. They learn to manipulate and completely crush a dudes confidence instead. There have been clips online of people asking random girls on the street if they intentionally bring down their boyfriends and the amount of girls that openly laughed and admitted too it is disgusting. They do it so the guy feels like he’s not good enough to leave them and get someone else. To keep their confidence low and because they just find it amusing. They psychologically abuse their own boyfriends and laugh about it.
I’m sure there are good ones out there that don’t do this. Just as i’m sure there are some guys that use the same tactics.
However i’m 26 and i still haven’t met any. I still get matches on tinder from other mid-20-year-old girls JUST to insult me and attempt to bully me. A dude they’ve never met or spoke too in their life.
So yeah... Keep your guard up.

As a girl, I've seen this happen so many times. I've been blocked by 4 guy friends because their gf was so insecure about "their man" having another girl in their life. The emotional manipulative has become a new plague and no one is talking about it or acknowledging it because "only women can be abused". It makes me so sad... They all unblocked me after they broke up and apologized. One reblocked me since he started dating her again...

I'd say it's more a case of don't trust random anyone with a significant relationship. Replace she with they and it would be similar
[–]BepsiLad 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I also learned this the hard way. Now I, along with many other men I know have huge trust issues. Anyone who manipulates people like that doesn't deserve a relationship. It also makes it hard though, because oftentimes when women see that they can't manipulate you, they'll lose interest in you because there are so many other guys who will let themselves be manipulated.

I'd just like to start out by saying I agree that some women do this, but not all and I don't know if I'd go as far as to say "most." You have to see it from both sides. You're saying that she should wait, etc., but you don't say anything about making sure you're not an empty, cold shell of a man. How if you put it off so long she starts to wonder if you care for her at all because you don't say anything. You don't talk to her about all the things she wants you guys to talk about and then wonder why she gets upset after you've been dating 6 months to a year. Yes, she should give you time, but you still have to make her feel like she's worth time. Not opening up to someone is definitely going to block out a lot of intimacy that shouldn't be lacking in a healthy relationship if it's for a long period(s).

If you're not ready to open up to someone, don't be in a relationship. Period. That's really all there is to it. [+]heavenleighxo7 -6 points-5 points-4 points 5 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link
Personally risky emotional material? I don't know who hurt y'all but I'm just trying to say we aren't all like that. I would say it's less than the majority. Don't date emotionally manipulative women if you don't want to get manipulated? I mean the other guys advice was for me to not date emotionally unavailable men if I don't want to date emotionally unavailable men. So, why don't you guys just not date emotionally manipulative women and we'll not date men who won't show their emotions. Sound good?
[–]WDEvenWorse 41 points42 points43 points 5 years ago* (22 children) | Copy Link
I’m gonna try to explain this so you can get some perspective. I’m not an AWALT red pill or MGTOW guy, so I’m not wagging my finger, admonishing or assuming you are a bad person here. But the comparison you are making doesn’t work. The difference between an emotionally unavailable individual and a manipulative one is drastic. One is boring or unengaging, the other is lying in wait to take advantage of you the second it suits their interests, morals and common decency be damned.
One you can walk away from without losing anything, the other intentionally hurts you in the most vicious way possible. It’s the difference between malice, and indifference.
That’s also not even taking into account that the reason men are often emotionally unavailable, is because they have had experiences with women taking advantage of it in the past and have learned from it. In essence, the complaint is against a problem created by their own doing.
Which I think is kind of funny in a morbid way. Woman sets fire to mans couch, man throws water on couch to put out the fire, woman complains about the fact that the couch is now wet. Man stands with his mouth ajar. This happens enough times and you get a population of individuals who have learned that nothing in life makes any fucking sense. You either die inside, kill yourself, or kill someone else. Those are your only 3 ways of coping with such utter non sense
Personally I’m teeter tottering between the 1st and 3rd option
[–]ChaosBirdTheory 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Damn, that was a really good way to describe what your ultimate outcome ends up being. I def teetered to the 2nd choice before landing on choice 1, and it made people think I didn't carr about anything for years. I still have issues today, but the upside is, she turned into trailer trash within a year of that incident, and I'm more focused now.
[–]GoldNiko 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
"In essence, the complaint is against a problem created by their own doing."
It's a vicious cycle. Someone takes advantage, results in emotional unavailability, and then the next person that gets involved with the emotional unavailability will eventually feel it's hopeless, and give up or try and get a reaction.
Women aren't a hivemind. Nobody is a hivemind. So one individuals actions aren't going to result in a universal result.
There's only one true constant person in all of someone's relationships, and it's them.
[–]WDEvenWorse 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Fair point my dude
[–]heavenleighxo7 -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
... so because I'm a woman and am telling you how I feel, it's automatically invalid huh? You're telling me that investing months into trying to be your best for someone, begging, pleading with them to open up or you can't stay and then breaking up isn't painful for the woman? That we can't say the same as you did, but for men, and under a different circumstance? I mean you're entitled to your opinion that all women want to emotionally manipulate you, but I'm telling you that you aren't going to get closer to not getting manipulated by having this mentality. What you're not understanding about my point is that you're ranting on the internet about how terrible women are and then continuing by rambling into something about being dead inside. News flash, buddy, we're all dead inside, suicidal, and want to kill someone. Doesn't matter what gender or what kind of relationship, they all suck. That being said, I'd like to conclude with get out of the victim mindset and understand that it's not all men. You can generalize and I'm cool with it, I do it as well, like "hey, women suck," but to go into a whole thing about how most women manipulate and take advantage and yadda, yadda it's overdone. On a post about communication and you're just shitting all over one side of the argument by continuing to say women suck. Lol. It's a valid comparison because it can VERY MUCH be used against you, just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it doesn't/hasn't happened to me or other people. I don't remember telling you that it doesn't hurt to have your feelings toyed with and taken advantage of, did I?
[–]WDEvenWorse 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
Before I respond, I need to tell you something. Use paragraphs lol.
Okay I feel where you are coming from but there’s a reason I said I wasn’t “AWALT” which stands for “All women are like that” I personally know of good women, only enough to count on one hand, but I’m aware they do exist. My mother included, despite how much of a cringe factory she is. But the unfortunate truth is that finding a shitty woman is a minefield so saturated that it is bound to turn even the most innocent of souls inside out. I know men can be shitty too, I’m fully aware, and not nearly stupid enough to claim “MEN GOOD WOMEN BAD” I’m no incel lol. But I’m telling, no, I’m promising you, it is so much harder on us than it is you.
Also, ease up. It’s difficult to tell through text but I’m not being hostile here. I’m softly laughing as I type anything on this site. I’m a light hearted individual, even when I’m talking about murder :)
[–]heavenleighxo7 -5 points-4 points-3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'm sorry, I've never gotten into a debate like this to be more aware of format, haha. I'm not being hostile either. I think it's very arrogant of you to assume you have it harder. I actually think it's laughable. You can't group a whole gender together like that and just say what you want. "It's so much harder on us." What does that even mean? Lmao. You have a dick so your life is so much harder? What kind of logic is that...
[–]WDEvenWorse 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I’d hardly call this a debate, more like a conversation.
I’ve been accused of being arrogant more times than I’d like to admit but I’m also very level headed and observant. One can make generalizations while also accepting that exceptions to rules exist. I’ve witnessed a lot of relationships. I’ve seen how my own innocence was used against me. I’ve also seen my male friends act like total fucking dipshits. I’ve weighed the odds, I’ve seen enough. I know how the world works in a general sense. And I’m confident enough to just plainly state it. Yes, because I have a dick, I have it harder than you.
Man, that is a really solid joke at the end there. Dammit y’all I’m on a roll right now
I guess I should pose a question. Do you believe that on average, men and women are predisposed to different traits?
[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Why are you so hostile and unabashedly wrong about your interpretation of this guys entire comment? How can you read that and think that he’s targeting all women and is inherently and vehemently against anything that you typed? I’m just lurking in this section, and from an outsider’s perspective, there’s a clear distinction between how someone conveys their point here and how the other person receives it and responds. Either read it again or walk away. I think there’s plenty of things you can learn from what this person is telling you, but the preconceived notions of life that you may or may not have has blinded you. Good day.

Wrong about why having a penis doesn't automatically make your life harder or easier..?
Okay, I think I should be able to explain this one for you. People are born and raised in all sorts of circumstances? So, there's that. Another thing would also be that I've been emotionally manipulated by plenty of men, I've been in a situation where my "sharing" was thrown back in my face, and I've even been friendzoned. I know, all this while having a VAGINA can you IMAGINE?

[–]adamAtBeef 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Are you saying people can't truely love each other unless they expose all their past to each other
[–]LadyKnight151 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It makes a long term relationship difficult if not impossible if both parties aren't being open and honest with each other
[–]heavenleighxo7 -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm saying for the sake of this argument and the circumstances discussed, no. The original comment states if a woman pushes you in anyway to open up she's just trying to manipulate you or take advantage. So I don't know where your question came from, but I guess not or it's manipulative.

[–]XxhellbentxX 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
The point of manipulation is you don’t know you’re being manipulated.
[–]heavenleighxo7 -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
That was a bad example. It was actually more so towards a different reply. My point stands as if you're getting into relationships knowing you're emotionally unavailable and damaged, then you're doing some manipulating of your own just because you don't want to be alone to figure your shit out. It's just as nasty.
[–]XxhellbentxX 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I don’t know if people are that self aware generally. A lot of issues I see with people seem to stem from a few things. Lack of communications about one’s needs. Or staying together because of fear of loneliness. At least in my area of living. Man therapy would probably help these people.
[–]heavenleighxo7 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I was never arguing that women can't manipulate men. I'm arguing that it happens to women too and obviously men aren't so self aware either. So as you said some people aren't even aware of the issues they're causing or harm they're doing and I don't think it's right to say most or group a majority of one gender into a single relationship problem because all of these problems go both ways.
[–]XxhellbentxX 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I didn’t mean just women or men. I meant in most interactions with others people seem to lack self awareness and base most things on assumptions they’ve made to themselves.
[–]heavenleighxo7 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'm agreeing with you.
[–]lurker_cx 18 points19 points20 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I just want to mention, that if you go on twoxchromosomes or other female centered subreddits, and you say "not all men do this" you will be completely destroyed. They basically say that when they say 'men do this' it should be understood that 'not all men do this' but enough of them do it so that it can be discussed as a serious issue. Saying 'men do this' is a shorthand, and they don't want to be inundated with a bunch of dudes saying 'not all men' ... they see it as nitpicking and starting arguments and bringing up the other side of what is still a completely valid point. Seriously... they get mad at what you just did when they really just want to talk about a specific problem, and don't need to hear that not every single person has the same problem.
[+]heavenleighxo7 -9 points-8 points-7 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
This post was a meme for video games, lmao. It's not a "post your whole life story" on reddit meme. It's not an advice reddit page that I'm on right now, is it? What point do you even have on bringing this up?
It's a valid point, but so are my points if you'd take the time to read them. I didn't say his point isn't valid, but maybe don't say things in that manner and not expect people to say something. It's just rude to say no man should open up to women because they'll just use you??
[–]Lucifers-kid 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He said it because you started to act like a victim of gender discrimination (bringing up gender issues oh boy) and said you’re a hypocrite for saying “not all women” (even though it was already stated originally).
[–]lurker_cx 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I am not even saying your points are not valid.... I am just saying you are essentially presenting a counter argument to a situation that OP and other posters feel is still nonetheless valid. What you say can be true and what he says can be true but the mere fact you asserting the opposite case comes across as denying what he is saying. It would be like if there was some board for people who struggled with their weight and they counted calories and then someone comes on and says "I eat whatever the hell I like, I just exercise a lot, you can't count calories your whole lives" .... it's like totally the opposite of validating their experience. And this sub isn't about video games... in case you hadn't noticed.

I married a woman who turned into this over a period of about 25 years. So there's that too to watch out for.
To your point, I changed quite a bit too, and not entirely for the better... I basically avoid talking to her as much as possible now and from her perspective I am an "empty cold shell of a man" who is completely humorless, but really it is just me shutting down all exposed surfaces to prevent damage since they only thing she does is either make demands or offer criticism. A friend at work didn't believe me and I let them play "text roulette" where I opened up messaging and said "swipe as far or as little as you want and stop and read"... they moved the screen back a bit, then did it again, then did it farther and finally went "holy shit. I am so sorry."
And since it always comes up when I say something about it... kids and money... and a sunk cost fallacy... are why I haven't gotten a divorce... yet. Plus, at this point it she makes so little of a dent most days it hardly matters any more.

I am very open so it’s extremely hard for most people to try and emotionally hurt me. 1st I don’t really get hurt by insults because I think other people can go duck themselves with a stick. 2nd there’s only a few things that will actually hurt me, the only people who know about that are my dad, my mom and me.

I mean, it's a bit different right? Playing games with your friends requires pretty limited communication skills. And when you lose a bunch and get mad you can just sign off and play again some other time.
If relationships were that easy then every one of them would be great.
[–]enfier 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If you lose a bunch and get mad in your relationship, why not sign off for a bit?
Seriously, if your partner is being a pain in the ass, you don't need to stick around to be a punching bag. Just go somewhere else, let them work through their issue, come back when they've calmed down and can address the issue in a productive manner.

[–]BLKCandy 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Communication in games is pretty straight forward though. You never really have to navigate landmines, explain your complex life problem, or console someone.
Everyone communicate in known limited context and ppl with some hours in would know what to say, and what to respond to what situation.
[–]Orleanian 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Take a look at Among Us that's all the rage right now.
It's a game 90% based on nuances of communication between players.
[–]BLKCandy 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's a deception game though. So it is pretty game based on logic and social skill. I should have clarify the types of game. MOBA, FPS, a lot of games communicate based on the game rules and tactic, not social skills.
[–]Conan524[🍰] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

“Which way?”
“Left!”
“What do you mean left? Which left?”
“East!!”
“What do you mean East?”

Proper communication requires a certain level of understanding to begin with.
[–]Sohcahtoa82 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
The problem is that it's hard to know which direction "east" is when so many games by default will rotate the minimap as you turn.
Why that became the standard is beyond me. It's cancerous. Valorant does it by default, and I've had all my friends disable it (and also set it to be permanently zoomed out entirely so they can see the entire map), and they said it's a game changer. It especially helps you when you don't know the maps yet.
[–]FlandreHon 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't know any game that does this that you cannot also turn it off in the settings.
[–]sp0k0mpt0nw0t 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There's usually a consensus within the community. No excuse for not knowing the map.
You should try getting to a camp in an MMORPG, everything is in shorthand, like in Lower Guk their was a very famous camp called "Ass/Supp." You just had to already know where it was and how to get there. So a lot of us printed out maps of zones new to us from online sites that collected maps.

Use left/right direction in a building is a bad choice, since there's no clear squad heading. Unlike one the field with clear route. As for using compass direction... directional awareness is indeed a skill required for tactical games.

They've gone through hours of planning and failing and getting better so now they don't need to say anything. Most relationships have a rough patch before it gets better. When Jake fails a clutch you don't scream "THIS IS WHY YOUR PARENTS DIVORCED JAKE"
I remember the old Counter-Strike days, we'd say "Go A" or "Go B" and half the "team" would camp in the spawn point, half the rest would go to the other site, and the ones that actually went to the site the guy with the bomb picked out were wiped out by one or two dudes who shot anyone coming in through the gates. Good times.

Describing a situation and discussing strategy is a very different thing from generic conversational skills. One requires some level of awareness and strategic skill, and the other requires some level of creativity and social-mindedness. For one, the material for conversation is already there (the contents of the game), and for the other, you have to make it up yourself and decide what is appropriate (as just going off what the other person is saying will only get you so far).
In the situations being referred to, the subject matter is a lot more clear with the game, while the girl is probably referring to unclear emotional conversations where she will obfuscate the information being conveyed (“it’s fine”, “nothing’s wrong”, etc) which makes understanding such information significantly more difficult.
TL;DR They are completely different situations so treating them as equal as an argument is stupid.
[–]BLKCandy 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Very this. There's actually very limited things that need social awareness in game comminication. It's almost always:
A: Report situation with specific jargons.
B: Purpose/request excution of some known tactics/plans/action.
Everyone know what everyone is or would say, and what they should/would do... Except for newbs, but they will learn after a few hours.

They targeted gamers.
Gamers.
We're a group of people who will sit for hours, days, even weeks on end performing some of the hardest, most mentally demanding tasks. Over, and over, and over all for nothing more than a little digital token saying we did.
We'll punish our selfs doing things others would consider torture, because we think it's fun.
We'll spend most if not all of our free time min maxing the stats of a fictional character all to draw out a single extra point of damage per second.
Many of us have made careers out of doing just these things: slogging through the grind, all day, the same quests over and over, hundreds of times to the point where we know evety little detail such that some have attained such gamer nirvana that they can literally play these games blindfolded.
Do these people have any idea how many controllers have been smashed, systems over heated, disks and carts destroyed 8n frustration? All to latter be referred to as bragging rights?
These people honestly think this is a battle they can win? They take our media? We're already building a new one without them. They take our devs? Gamers aren't shy about throwing their money else where, or even making the games our selves. They think calling us racist, mysoginistic, rape apologists is going to change us? We've been called worse things by prepubescent 10 year olds with a shitty head set. They picked a fight against a group that's already grown desensitized to their strategies and methods. Who enjoy the battle of attrition they've threatened us with. Who take it as a challange when they tell us we no longer matter. Our obsession with proving we can after being told we can't is so deeply ingrained from years of dealing with big brothers/sisters and friends laughing at how pathetic we used to be that proving you people wrong has become a very real need; a honed reflex.
Gamers are competative, hard core, by nature. We love a challange. The worst thing you did in all of this was to challange us. You're not special, you're not original, you're not the first; this is just another boss fight.
