where i'm from garbage truck drivers make between 20-$30/hr and have great benefits and a union. among the worst jobs i can think of would be a janitor at a fast food restaurant making $7/hr cleaning up shit

It's really sad but this is what started a huge movement in Memphis TN, the sanitation strikes. A couple of men were sitting in the back of their garbage truck for shade because they weren't allowed in the whites only shaded are. They were crushed to death.
