I find hormones and the endocrine system very fascinating. They determine so much of a woman’s health and even outlook on life. I have read books by Lara Briden; PubMed articles on oxytocin, progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone; and Sara Gottfried. Also books on charting your cycle shows you in a more specific way how every month the hormones change you. Another book called “Hormone Horoscope” is an interesting take on things. Understanding your hormones is practical, very pertinent to fertility, and really interesting.

Vitamin D is actually a hormone and most people are very deficient. Feel tired? Depressed? Can't think clearly? You might be vitamin d deficient. It takes weeks/months to get it balanced. My doctor checks mine every year. And will give me RX strength vitamin d when I have gotten lax with my vitamins.
