Bullet journaling

The more you try to keep it pretty the less useful it is. Just do it functionally and see if it helps and as you realize if its a good tool to you, you'll figure out more visual cues that you add to make things distinct or in categories. I liked rose diagrams [plotting tool that is round] for the month at the beginning of each month and would color them in as I succeeded for the day. So I could analyze that I just don't do anything Tuesdays ever and adapt my schedule and expectations to that trend.

I liked dot paper.

I bullet journal! I use a Rhodia Goalbook. I love that I can keep half my brain on paper and always keep it with me. It's a godsend for productivity and stress relief.

I bullet journal in a digital ring-binder (google "digital planner goodnotes") - it keeps me on top of my time, using the classical bullet journal system. The square box is a to-do, like a task, a rounded one is a reminder, for me. I've got vertical weekly spread in use the most, with hours on a side, so I colour code my schedule and put work task down next to the "at work" line and after work task either before or after to differentiate between the two.

I used to bullet journal in a regular A5 filofax but I'm but a tiny lady and I could only carry the diary around if I had a bigger bag, which looks weird on me. I already have my tablet on me at all times anyway, so digital works better in my case. Also I don't use paper that way and I make my own stickers.

It's a good tool to keep motivated, I think. Flexible and adjustable. I color-code my bullet journal too and do a gratitude line at the end of each day.

I used to be big on bullet journals a few years ago, now not so much. It was helpful to track weight progress, diet, exercise, habits like taking my vitamins, finances, when my amazon packages would arrive, etc. In terms of supplies I used: a leuchtturm a5 jounal, sakura micron pens, tombow dual brush pens, mildliner highlighters, washi tape, and stickers.

It was really fun and relaxing to do, but the reason I stopped was because my weekly spreads were taking too much time to do and I also began running out of ideas for weekly/monthly themes. If you do a more minimalist journal, you can avoid that issue.

I do the original 'bullet journal', with coded dots and stuff, not trying to make it fancy and elaborate! My main 'hack' is using erasable pens so that my perfectionism doesn't cause me to pull out every page with an error in it!

I actually dont use it as a "classic" bullet journal. I use it as more of a...what am I doing right now and an art thing.

I made a drawing copy of my current bookshelf, what movies I have liked recently, and stuff. We just bought a house, so right now it keep track of my paint color ideas! I do a month title page, but that's it.

I didn't think I would keep up a mood tracker or a to do list. I also didn't want it to track my chronic illness because I just wanted something that wasn't a constant reminder that I am sick.

I just have one from Walmart that I use to create easy Eisenhower Matrices for each day. The Walmart ones are suprisingly well made and cheap. I also have one for my side hobby of creating stories/characters. I decide the journal into multiple sections for what I need.
