Yes, it’s true that men generally crave sex but they (for the most part) aren’t sex crazed fiends. They can wait just like any woman can, as long as they determine that it’s worth the wait. And for most couples, sex doesn’t stop entirely during pregnancy. Wanting sex doesn’t nullify the ability to control oneself and many men are willing to put their desires aside temporarily for the comfort of the woman they love.

Sex happens during pregnancy. Pregnancy can actually increase your sex drive. And the wait time after birthing a baby isn't necessarily that long and often in the interim everyone is very busy and tired with the new baby. And if for some reason the wait time is longer then there is oral sex and other things you can do together.

Sex is something that both partners usually desire in a healthy marriage. It's pleasurable for both the husband and the wife. Sex shouldn't be a chore or an obligation. Instead it's a beautiful fun perk in an intimate relationship.

Men and women can both have very strong sex drives. And libido can fluctuate because of age, stress, circumstance, health etc. It's not a given that men will always have an insatiable need for sex.

A good man will not cheat on his wife just because she isn't sexually available while recovering from birth or whatever else may be going on. I do think though if a partner is never enthusiastically wanting the other and shuts down sex constantly eventually there will be hurt and harm to a marriage. Women tend to have 'responsive desire' so being open to sexual touching even went they aren't necessarily revving to go can help turn them on so they are ready for sex. And if it doesn't work a good partner will understand that and respect a no at any stage of sex. Having an erection doesn't suddenly turn them into savages.

how do men manage to wait till marriage

Generally, unless they are religiously-inclined, they don’t.

Marriage is already a very risky proposition for men, and expecting a guy to wait until marriage for sex is practically insanity.

What if you’re not sexually compatible? I wouldn’t buy a car without test driving it, I wouldn’t hire an employee without interviewing them, and I wouldn’t marry a woman without sleeping with her first. Physical intimacy is a vital part of any healthy relationship, and I suspect you would not want to marry a man that withheld an important aspect of a relationship from you, without marriage first.

I think you’re going to drastically limit your potential partners here (fine if you’re religious and want a like-minded partner) because a high-value guy is not going to wait (or at least not wait faithfully) when there are lots of quality women who want and enjoy sex, and don’t demand marriage for it.

Edit: I appreciate I’ll get some downvotes here, but some of you will need to realise:

There’s a whole world outside of ‘murica (who knew?!) where your unique brand of western religious zealotry doesn’t exist
This is exactly the sort of question where a typical man’s opinion is important, because you’re not trying to marry another woman, are you? So at least consider a different perspective here before blindly tapping the down arrow. Or don’t, I don’t give a shit - I’m in a great long-term relationship with a healthy sex life, where neither partner demanded marriage in return for something, so whatever.
