More freedom doesn't equal more happiness. We see more women diagnosed with depression than ever before. I don't think being a RPW is about not wanting a career, but knowing that a career shouldn't be your "be all end all" aspiration. Women should want to be mothers and wives first and foremost, but with the economy that we live in (due to feminism forcing women to work out instead of at home) sometimes women have no other option. RPW is accepting that you can't "have it all", but that that is okay because embracing being a woman is what truly what will make women happy again.
I think your second point is going to get different responses from person to person, but I do think that having a high RMV will keep a man from running off even when I hit the wall. Maybe I'm being idealistic, but I believe that when you are your best self, and are the most feminine you can be, a man won't want to run from you.

All around us are BP women who have careers and are independent and strong, yet they still get married, usually to a man who "allows" her to have everything she wants and more. Why should a woman become RPW and submit to her man, when she can be BP and have way more advantages in her choices?

Without knowing more about these relationships, and seeing the couple in action, I'd be skeptical that it's happy (active sex, man feels respected etc). I very rarely see women respecting men in a notable way...usually it's just men being joked about, ignored, or berated. A man who looks to the woman before speaking, one that is hesitant to share his opinion....you can tell a lot about a couple by the 'funny' stories that are shared.

Also, it is entirely possible for people to have happy BP marriages. RP never said "this is the ONLY way to find happiness." On the other side, you have many women here that have found happiness thanks to RP. Women that are getting married, or that have resurrected their relationship.

Does a high RMV (conversational abilities, hobbies, domestic duties, pleasantry) really, truly deter a man from running off with a younger woman who has physical beauty and energy, when his wife is 50yo?

If you vetted for a good man, yes.

I don't know if bp = more advantages for women. Rp emphasizes vetting a man to make sure you can be in a relationship with him without having to whine and nag. Not having to whine and nag at a man to pull his weight is every woman's dream.
You look for a gentleman, a smart, deep man who sees past exteriors and doesn't get so hung up on youth and beauty. All men appreciate beauty, sure, but some men are downright sleazy about it. So many women think "he's just being a guy" when their partner raves about how hot some other woman or stares at other women. Let me ask you this- If he's raving and staring at other women when you two are young and in your primes (rather than focusing on YOU and your beauty), what do you think he will be doing when you're 50 and not as great to look at anymore? Unless the guy completely lets himself and gets obese at 50, you're going to have to worry about this Mr. sleaze hitting on women half his age and probably cheating, can almost guarantee. Look at Donald trump- politics aside, the man is simply a sleaze. Look at the way he talks about women other than his wife. If that was my husband, I would be downright humiliated. He has had a gorgeous wife for years and still had a wandering eye and dirty mouth the whole time. Stay away from men like that! They are dogs.

It gets very tiring having to be in a relationship where you're having to do everything because your spouse is too much of a pushover. There's no time for nurturing or the real expression of other feminine qualities and people get very burned out without realizing they're doing it to themselves. Or they end up living a fairly empty existence not knowing why they're not happy despite having 'everything they want'.
Solved by proper vetting.

Honestly your second question is one that concerns me and I asked sthn similar not long ago. My bf is 3.5 years older than me but we look roughly the same age minus his gray hairs :) We are both attractive but I would say he is more attractive than I am. So it makes me wonder whether continuing to be with him and even marrying him in the future would be a mistake. If women are already blatantly hitting on him now ( a whole other issue in itself, drives me bonkers) what happens when we are 50s and some hot 30 yo hits on him? What if she's 22 for crying out loud? Even if I am a good wife, I don't have the body or overall youthfullness of a 30 yo at age 50. Who knows honey. All I know is that as things stand I have a great man who frequently talks about getting old with me. As long as I take the time to look good for a 50 yo and make sure his needs are met and I'm still his soft landing, if he chooses to throw decades of good, real love away for tighter flesh and perkier tits, it's just something I will have to deal with at the time. I can only ensure I am a good partner; the rest is out of my control. As for your first question I am studying for the bar while my bf doesnt have a college degree even. That doesnt mean that I can't treat him with the respect that is required to have a RP relationship. You can work and still incorporate RP values into your rship.

Man intruding here: In regards to your second question, it absolutely counts. If you've chosen a good man, he governs his life by virtues such as honor, loyalty, and fidelity.

Beyond that, consider this: do you think Superman would leave Lois Lane when she hits the wall? I don't believe so, for the simple reason that Lois treats Superman like her hero. Not "a" hero but "her" hero.

Stefan Molyneux (Philosopher with lots of YouTube presence) phrases this concern really well: be so wonderful that he has no choice but to choose you every day. Be the best option always, all things considered.

1) Because the bp method of total equality, in practice, often leads to lots of nagging and resentment on one side and stonewalling and resentment on the other side. Plus a dead bedroom. Now, some bp couples claim to have a great marriage -- I believe them and am happy for them. But rp will prevent the other ones from sliding toward divorce.

It's totally possible to practice rp principles while having a career btw, don't think that the only way to make it work is by staying at home.

2) We can certainly hope so. It's worth taking the risk imo, the opportunity cost is not that much (I guess instead, you could choose to be single starting at a young age?).

RPW is its own reward for me. I don't care if someone can land a man of "equal SMV" being lazier or brattier or what not. When I was cruel and belittling and disrespectful I actually had plenty of super high SMV men pursue and/or commit to me, but it actually brought me no satisfaction or joy. The sweetest romantic gestures just turned me off; the most masculine, commanding behaviors just made me belligerent.

Adding RPW-esque thinking into my life makes the good stuff better and bad stuff less frequent. Whatever effort or sacrifice it requires is more than worth it.
