Hello RPW!

First time poster, long time lurker, I'm very grateful for this sub and how it's given me the tools to stay grounded and strive to be a better me which have lead me to finding a man I respect and adore.

I've been with my man for half a year now, Living together for 3 months. He is alpha by nature, 10 years my senior, ambitious, fit, tall, intelligent, financially stable, is known to be hardass with everyone but treats me like a lady... Just about everything about him is intoxicating to me and quite frankly I want to enrich his life forever.

Moving in together was a very easy rythm to fall into. We both assumed our roles without a hitch. While we both have full time jobs he assumed the primary provider role while I cook every day, do laundry, and handle most domestic duties. Doing my part is a genuine pleasure because he shows gratitude every day. He never fails to make me feel special and appreciated. I truly am a lucky girl!

My only issue arises with our polarizing political views. He is extremely right wing to the point where it feels more like blind fanaticism than merely a political stance. I disagree with just about EVERYTHING he stands for politically; anti-abortion, believes climate change news is fear mongering, things of this nature. We've even discussed vaccinations and I flat out stated that if we marry any children being made in my body are being vaccinated and it's non-negotiable. He has agreed that this is fair.

We agree to disagree a lot of the time though. I know better than to argue with him in most cases because of how passionate he is but there are times when I can't just sit back and accept his stance. I am hispanic and he is caucasian so this usually happens when racial topics arise. When he does take the time to listen to me, he'll smile and hold me and I can't help feeling like a petulant child. It makes me feel like he doesn't take me seriously and I've stated this before but he's just so good at disarming me that I end up dropping it.

Have any of you ladies dealt with an issue like this? He's absolutely perfect in every other aspect and is hinting at taking our relationship even further. As a good woman and first mate am I destined to accept his political views if I want my relationship to succeed?
