I think the OP of that post would benefit from reading our wiki and using RPW as a resource instead of getting RP theory from her boyfriend(?) who is teaching her from a very male-centric understanding of RP (not necessarily a bad thing for himself, but this is why we have two separate communities for the men and the women). Like u/Whisper says, he tells men to avoid marriage at all costs on TRP, and then comes over here and tells women the best strategies they can use to find and keep a husband. Because while we both work from the same praxeology, men and women’s goals are sometimes overlapping but other times divergent. RPW is made specifically for women to meet our romantic goals.

I would say traditional monogamy is definitely more conservative/RP, yes?

My thoughts on the post aside, a firm stance that RPW and its mods have always taken is that TradCon is RPW, but RPW is not TradCon. RPW is a toolbox that can effectively be used by any woman who wants a male-led relationship. It’s not a checklist of requirements that you have to fulfill in order to be a part of the community, nor is it a lifestyle or a philosophy or a belief system.

TLDR: If you’re looking for an exclusively traditional/conservative community, RPW may not be the place for you, because we also welcome women who have different lifestyles, beliefs, and experiences from that. That being said, a lot of RPW theory and strategy fits into many TradCon lifestyles really well, so you are just as welcome everyone else here to use them and to be part of the community!

Polyamory only benefits the top 10-15% of men.

The rest are screwed. If women are willing to accept relationships where they must share their man, and men are willing to have multiple women, then the men in the middle and at the bottom will have almost zero access to women. This is because all women will flock to the most attractive man they can get, and most attractive men are willing to have average or even unattractive women in their rotation.

What happens to a society when you have a large amount of young men who are sexually frustrated, unsuccessful, and unfulfilled? Bad things. Very bad things. Societies that encourage polygamy tend to be less-than-peaceful unless they use arranged marriage to ensure all men have at least one wife.

Women are naturally hypergamous. Men tend to be naturally non-exclusive when it comes to sexual relationships. Traditional marriage exists to curve both of these natural tendencies to create stability in a society.

Casual sex is inherently unstable. If a man is going around having casual sex with other women, what is likely to happen? Babies being born out of wedlock. Single mothers. Drama. Kids raised without a stable father figure. None of that is redpill.

The “it’s okay if men sleep around and cheat” ideology is more pick-up artist ideology framing itself as redpill.

Conservatism absolutely means monogamy and any man who argues otherwise is a PUA in disguise. He’s not focused on the betterment of society as a whole - he’s focused on himself and his own desires.

I think it’s wise to not listen to people who shout ‘feminist’ at those with differing opinions. There are plenty of feminists and trads that think that men should not sleep with people other than their wife/girlfriend, it’s not inherently a feminist belief.

Why not? It can be a tradcon value for one set of reasons (ex. stability of marriage and family), and "feminist" for a different set of reasons (ex. the control and limitation of men's sexual options.)

Politics can make for strange fellows. The religious right and the 3rd wave feminists are both anti-porn and anti-prostitution (even in a "regulated" way like in W. Europe or Australia). Again, this is for different reasons, but no reason they cannot overlap from time to time.

Polygamy is neither one. It's a wealth building strategy though. There are plenty of polygamous societies in the world that are peaceful and wealthy. Why? They follow principles that reap benefits for years to come. Men having multiple WIVES in other cultures has been proven to be successful for them. How? Just look at the richest people in the world. THEY practice polygamy and build huge, strong families with wealth and power ready to pass on to their children. This is how they operate, more or less:

Stable families are a priority to them. They believe in MARRIAGE, even if it's arranged for the good of the family. The men usually have 1-3 wives, meaning they only have those women as sex partners in their lifetime. The wives usually have 1-3 men as sexual partners, considering some become widows then remarry after. Most have only one sexual partner their entire lives.

With that being said, their families typically produce a lot more children who are born within a solid family unit, as opposed to our kids who are born out of wedlock in droves. Also, they believe in gender roles, but more on that later.

Their riches, power, and traditions are kept in the family for generations. The rich love to set their kids up for success. The men keep the businesses going, while the women take care of the heirs of these business, their children. They make sure their kids go to the best schools, and have connections, and learn the FAMILY BUSINESS. Finally, the sons take over the businesses and carry on the family name.
They live closely together... typically. Mansions were meant to keep families together, especially if they were huge. That's the purpose of having 15-50 bedrooms and bathrooms. Those houses lasted for generations and stayed within the family for decades, maybe even centuries. The more wealth a family had, the more they could expand their land and homes for later generations. Eventually, they built empires, entire populations fortified by wealth.

If you've ever visited a historic mansion, look out for portraits. Usually, the big one with the guy on the horse with the sword is an ancestor that the family name came from. He passed his wealth and power to his kids, then they passed it on to theirs, etc., etc. He most likely had 4 wives and had 40 kids in total. His 40 kids lived with him in his 100 bedroom house. You get the picture.

They believe in gender roles. Yes... I know...OpPrEsSion😂 The men typically take over the family businesses and the women take care of the family. It's important to them that their kids are nurtured as children and then taught how to function within the family as they get older. The boys are taught the family trade, and the girls are taught how to maintain the family. Keep in mind that families like this have strict rules and regulations to keep the family intact. The rules are enforced by the head of the family, the man, who would pass the baton to the first born son.

When there is a problem in the family, they have meetings, lead by the head of the house( Remember, the family includes the grandad and his family, all of his kids and their families, etc. We're talking multi-generational). Just know that the family keeps secrets and problems WITHIN the family. Consider how stable this family must be.

Let's compare monogamous families like ours to their polygamous ones:

Today, we "regular" people have monogamous relationships, which typically involve 5 to 500 sex partners, ironically. Our society encourages us to marry for love only, which is usually mere infatuation. The marriages end abruptly and split the families. Also, people sometimes don't marry at all, and have sex just because, leaving room for out-of-wedlock children. Their is no wealth being distributed to them, let alone built for them. They end up being raised in single-parent homes, which statistically sets them up for criminal activity and instability.

On the flip side, even if there is marriage involved for the betterment of the family, monogamy only gets us so far. You can't have as many kids, so you can't spread the wealth as much either. Also, when we get married, we scatter. We may visit our parents for holidays but that's it. We're about being independent, but don't understand the power of staying together.

NO, these are Christian values. 200 years ago, our society was built on the rules of the Bible. So, the concept of "right to do" and "wrong to do" is from there. The feminist movement hates Christian values because they say they make "women weak." The bible always talks about building a family and against casual sex and adultery for the followers of Jesus. for the woman was made for the husband and the man for the wife. Anyway, feminists who say that, still have those values inside them.

A lot of old school feminists from my mother's generation of feminists (1960s) strongly subscribe to the notion that any kind of casual sex is bad. Some liberal feminists still view it as empowering today, but it is ever so slowly, very slowly, starting to swing back the other way.

Christians and Muslims and Jews also generally believe that cheating, especially if the adulterer is unrepentant, is a valid reason to end a marriage, yet none of those groups are wildly feminist. RPW is also quite popular with all three of these groups too.

Also, even outside of a marriage, the goal of the groups I mentioned - and the goal of most RPW - is to date for marriage, so dating some bozo who's just going to sleep around outside of your relationship and not take it seriously is a waste of your time.
