Good post. This is quite relevant.

TRP is not a life guide. It doesn't promise the answers to every possible shit test, or cheat codes to a 450k annual income, or even the best car to drive.

This is what I love about TRP. It is genuine. Every other product out there I've willingly consumed: Feminism, PUA, RSD, they were all that.

Products.

TRP is a community of real people trying to help each other become better men, without a hidden agenda.

It's a philosophy and nothing more.

Imitators, wanna-be Alpha's and Placebo RP'ers, the ones that don't look at the philosophy and sit down and educate themselves, the ones that skim a few articles, go out and treat some girl like shit and then wonder why they aren't magically getting pussy overnight sicken me and shouldn't be a part of this community.

[–]heeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeee 19 points20 points21 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Good post. TRP isn't a comprehensive philosophy. It's just a male space that rejects egalitarianism and female entitlement mentality.

I take more from yoga, meditation, and eastern philosophy than I do from TRP. For me TRP is not a holistic enterprise but a cheat-sheet for dealing with the opposite sex.

If I want to think about my life, I think in terms much larger than TRP. If I want to think about women and sex, which represents only a portion of my life, I think in terms of TRP.

[–]thenowhereman36 3 points3 points3 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The way I think of TRP is in two parts. One part, is the cheat sheet for the opposite sex. The other part is a philosophy that leads you to expanding yourself to other useful philosophies and habits via male centric self improvement principals. TRP leaves plenty of room for, and even invites, co-mingling of other useful things like yoga, meditation, bhudism, stoicism, etc.

[–]heeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeee 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think you're right but I also see an interesting sliding scale here. PUA started off very behaviorist. It wasn't even fake-it-til-you-make-it because there was no discussion about making it. It was just faking it to get laid. With TRP the discussion has gravitated largely to self-improvement, or "make-it-don't-fake-it."

I personally value the former approach because I can get self-improvement from so many different places. It's when TRP deals with exact specifics of how to treat women that I feel like I am gaining some really unique value from the forum.

[–]Ambipath 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Same story here. Ultimately I am just curious of the TRP perspective. But the more I find out about it the more I realize it won't be of much use for me. I won't become alpha. It is pretty much contradicting the eastern philosophies of going with the flow, finding contentment and harmony within and so on. Which I find much bigger than centering my life around how to find a meat hole to stick my dick in. It sounds too shallow of a goal to embark on this personality changing quest. Pretty much the biggest clash of TRP and spirituality I see is that TRP is heavily tied in with ego while in say Buddhism for example it is being shunned. So the perspective are different at the very base. At first I was thinking TRP would provide some good info to mitigate damage from crazy people but now I realize that I don't care about that. And I never did, it is against my whole world view pretty much. I don't want to be living out of fear and scarcity mentality. And I don't care how bad some people are. There is no escaping clashes with them. Even less do I want to engage in some kind of covert warfare with the opposite sex, insidiously calculating my every move. I just don't want that to be my reality. And I know for a fact that we are more in charge of what we experience by proactivly engaging reality versus just reacting to it. So I choose to proactivly engage it with only the most benevolent of intentions. That's my responsibility. How and why everybody else want to do it, it's their choice. But I won't be basing my whole life and personality on the fact that there are shitty people out there.

[–]trphardmode 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But the more I find out about it the more I realize it won't be of much use for me.

At this point down the path, the things that help you understand the motives behind peoples behavior makes you understand them better, which helps you further connect with other people.

[–]heeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeee 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Forget "alpha." TRP is about understanding female nature so that you don't make mistakes like get married, invest excessive trust into a woman, or take what she says without large grains of salt.

It's not about becoming a douchebag. It's about maintaining independence and safety from female attachments.

Buddhism and TRP overlap considerably in that "outcome independence" is a foundational component of both.

Also, both teach that love for the self is the starting point for building a good life.

My 3 years with Buddhism and 2 years with TRP have been quite synergistic.

[–]Ambipath 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Interesting parallels. But I would argue that outcome independence is different in TRP and Buddhism. In TRP it is stil a means to an end. Which is from my limited knowledge of the principles(still going through the side bar) is ultimately gaining power(control over ones freedom). Not a bad thing to want according to some. But in Buddhism the outcome independence is the end. There are no more worries that you are not gona get something. You got love and you give it. Regardless of whether there is a woman who wants to take advantage of you or not.

That is the big sacrifice, you forgo all these things that you could get(seems like a big thing in TRP - not getting the best you could possibly get) to gain the ultimate invincibility from suffering and at the same time to provide the world the very much needed buffer from violence. In this light, TRP and such spiritual practices as Buddhism seem very much opposite from each other, even though they both pursue freedom from first glance. Free yourself from elements that hamper the expansion of your ego or free yourself from ego? Maybe I look at these things way too idealistically.

[–]heeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeee 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But in Buddhism the outcome independence is the end.

Outcome independence in Buddhism is not an end, but a means. The end is well-being and freedom from suffering.

[–]shzftw 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Curious, which eastern philosophy are you talking about?

[–]yertlemyturtle 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Yoga and Meditation" I would guess a form of Buddhism but many eastern religions incorporate meditation into their practice so I could be wrong.

[–]heeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeee 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was into Buddhism for a while, now I'm focusing specifically on the practice of yoga, meditation, and semen retention.

TRP changed me. It changed me for the better in so many ways. When I first found TRP, I was just looking for a way to fuck hot chicks. But after spending enough time on here, I started lifting, something I'd always wanted to do but never really got the motivation to do before. I started opening my mind and my eyes more than they had ever been opened before. And most importantly, I stopped giving a fuck about fucking hot chicks and instead started giving fucks only about maxing out me for me.

I did have some times where I felt like I had to become a douche bag bro, get huge, maybe get a tattoo, just to fuck hot chicks, but I made it past that, and hopefully other newbies will too.

[–]moose_war[S] 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

maybe get a tattoo, just to fuck hot chicks, but I made it past that, and hopefully other newbies will too.

That one guy Chris from Good Looking Loser actually advises getting lots of tattoos just to make yourself more attractive to bar sluts.

At some point you gotta say "Who am I doing this for?" The answer should always be "Me" (in regards to situations like that).

[–]stellarMan24 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

That is a great question to ask yourself, something I struggle with daily. But regarding Chris, that method works for him, and to be honest it does work. Women do find muscular tattooed men attractive, and instantly place them in the AF category rather than BB.

He has a post specifically about looking like a douche bag to get more girls. And while yes, it seems slightly lame and pathetic, it does indeed work, especially if you want quick hook ups. It's a simple strategy and again, it does work.

I've noticed women respond way more positively to me when wearing a tank rather than a t shirt. Then again, I've been lifting for 3 years, so I've got something to show

What's that quote, all is fair in love and war? It definitely applies here.

[–]thenowhereman36 2 points2 points2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh for sure. Wasn't trying to say that stuff doesn't work, just that it would have been a mistake for me to do something like get a tattoo, which I've personally never wanted, just to get girls.

[–]stellarMan24 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Completely understandable. I'm the same way, tattoos aren't my thing.

Doing things just to get girls, that's what I struggle with. To be completely honest, most of the activities I've incorporated into my daily life were to get girls. Yeah, do things just for you, but at some point, you need to get laid. If you're not getting laid as you are, you have to change something about yourself. That's how I got started in this.

I think most guys start like this, when they realize that it's not working the way they want (i.e. girls dont give a fuck about their lifestyle changes and still want nothing to do with them), they SLOWLY start doing it "just for them". At least that's how it's been for me. I no longer wish to stop going to the gym so heavily once I've finally started banging hot girls. I now realize how much value it adds to my life - helps improve my focus which allows me to work better, improves my athletic ability, improves my health which makes me feel better, and to be frank, I like the way I look in the mirror. Now, I see it as mandatory to my lifestyle. It's no longer a means to an end, but an end in itself.

To sum this up and state the point, I don't think it's at all bad to incorporate positive changes into your life in order to attract higher quality women. You might feel some pain, self-doubt or discomfort in the process, but at least you're living a healthier lifestyle.

Tattoos to me aren't a positive change. Lifting, eating right, dressing better, approaching more, and becoming more successful in your business however ARE positive changes.

[–]moose_war[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No doubt but tattoos are permanent...is it worth marking your body up forever just to fuck some skanks for a few years?

And regarding your tank/muscles situation, again, that's totally fine. What I am saying is to lift SPECIFICALLY for that scenario will most likely make a man sad in the long run.

[–]amotg 40 points41 points42 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is amazing post and it really rings true to me. This is very important and I would even suggest this to be put in the sidebar.

Whether we want to admit it or not, our community here fulfills more than one of the characteristics of a cult. TRP is not a cult, obviously, but a cult and TRP have things in common. It is important to realize this and not have a long sequence of 1s and 0s define yourself. I think it is very easy for impressionable young men to find TRP for whatever reason and be consumed by it. We advocate going to the gym every day, improving style/dressing better, essentially changing/improving everything that a typical man is, on the outside, on the inside, everything. Having your post as required reading could help keep things in perspective and prevent people from defining themselves as a "redpiller" or part of a secret club, which, in my opinion, is a bad thing.

[–]RemyPrice 19 points20 points21 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The word cult is not inherently bad and forms the word culture, which is simply a set of shared beliefs and traditions.

A dangerous cult has a leader we hold in high esteem and follow blindly.

We are more accurately a society or fraternity.

[–]pilledwillingly 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You've kinda got a point, but I don't think the stereotype is as bad as you think. Maybe outside of TRP the members are viewed as skeevy PUA/MRA/Alphabro, but in here I think we're mostly pretty cool who have just been burned. I play Dungeons and Dragons, I drive an i30, I think that men are more likely to cheat than women, I think there's a lot more to these field reports than "OMG AWALT" Because my personal experience has shown plenty of women with motives outside of AF/BB, and depth beyond that of a lot of men I've met. I'm different, you're different, it's a collective, not a hive. This place is about self improvement and self-preservation, I don't think you can pin us to one stereotype.

[–]moose_war[S] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I see it more on PUA forums and other "manosphere" forums, but some people tend to think they need to become "that guy"- a kind of boring, typical club guy who just keeps adding notches to his belt. It's basically the opposite of what the TRP teaches and guys just become weird followers and become even more obsessed with pussy. This is why MGTOW is good as it tries to draw attention to having real goals in life as a man, but sadly it rejects sex too much to be realistic. You need both sides of the equation.

It's OK to pretend to be someone else when you're trying out game for the first time, but I just think too many guys see the light, become angry and come here looking to become alpha meat head guys who act tougher than they are and spend every waking moment trying to fuck lots of women. Funny that every PUA guru pretty much says this is a horrible way to live, but I don't think people hear that part. They think there is only one way to have a good, abundant sex life and that they can't fuck a 6/10 if they find that 6/10 cute. If you get caught up in that trap, you will never be happy. It'll become like a bad version of American Psycho.

[–]vintagegirlgame 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

My SO's best friend is totally "that guy." Model type (once graced the cover of GQ) very outgoing and charismatic and a total alpha who has a different and perfectly exotic girl on his arm every time we see him. Always going out to clubs and parties. All around a really great guy with a lot of friends. However is he satisfied and happy with his endless supply of models? Not at all. What he really wants is to go steady with a quality girl so he doesn't spend all his time and energy chasing sluts. But he's delved so deep into that lifestyle that no decent girl will LTR him. They'll sleep with him but they refuse to date him. And these are some quality girls, not just bar sluts. Gorgeous smart girls with a good head on her shoulders, some of who are still my good friends after they split with him.

[–]crack_tobi 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Why do you assume he wants to LTR someone?

However is he satisfied and happy with his endless supply of models? Not at all. What he really wants is to go steady with a quality girl so he doesn't spend all his time and energy chasing sluts. But he's delved so deep into that lifestyle that no decent girl will LTR him. They'll sleep with him but they refuse to date him. And these are some quality girls, not just bar sluts. Gorgeous smart girls with a good head on her shoulders, some of who are still my good friends after they split with him.

That is some severe blue way of thinking. Has this person ever told you how displeased he is in his life because all women want to have sex with him while no one wants to LTR him or is it just your decisive thinking? I'm discarding the urge to call that total bullshit. He should be the happiest man in my books.

Please tell me, what is this decent girl you mention?

[–]vintagegirlgame 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes we have had actual discussions about it. He has complained to me and my SO about it and always comments on how envious he is of our type of relationship.

Of course he's happy to have easy access to sex, but it's instant gratification kind of happiness, not satisfying long term happiness. This guy's parents have one of the most beautiful RP style relationships I've personally witnessed, and he longs for the kind of family his father raised. His father introduced him to RP values and his mother is the perfect example of a RPW. I have discussed basic RP themes with him and he is very interested to know more. Even though he is naturally alpha, one of his main problems is the same most men face here, in that when he gets more serious with a girl his personality loses its alpha edge and he falls into a comfort zone that pushes her away.

The girl I am thinking of is an exotic Costa Rican beauty who is smart, sweet , feminine and more traditional than most girls. They were seeing each other casually and he wanted to be her boyfriend but she told me she didn't think he was ready for commitment (aka he loves the game too much to stop being a player).

So his dilemma seems to be that he's too alpha for girls to take him seriously as a LTR but if he does LTR he gets more beta and even this slight shift turns girls off enough to dissolve the relationship. At RPW we refer to a man needing to have a combination of alpha traits and beta traits to be a good captain, so it's a fine line he'll have to balance.

He never meant it was you in particular.

If you are the type, then the message pertains to you. If not, move along since the message is not for you as you already have understood the core principle of redpill.

[–]pilledwillingly 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know he doesn't mean ME, I'm just saying that even though I'm still me, I'm just a faceless dude in the crowd who doesn't always speak his hobbies and opinions that go against the grain, so the information he's getting about who the members are might be saturated with what he believes are negative traits, when most of the time it's just a bias of where the conversation gets steered.

You can be an artist, a singer, a doctor, lift, and still be considered a meathead because the only things you mentioned in the FR was picking up girls and lifting because that's all that was relevant to the story.

Nicely said.

YOUR goals are more important than anything.

+1.

[–]moose_war[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yes, exactly

TRP is great but if you read into it wrong it could make you toss your dreams aside just to be something you aren't

[–]aa223 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To me it would be really damn stupid if TRP was everything that I am. This subreddit and these concepts are merely an extension to being the person I want to be. TRP is only a stepping stone to something much more grand. What that something is will be up to the individual and it will be different for everyone.

TRP is great and all but like any pill, it is stupid and irresponsible to overdose.

This post is too poorly written to be sidebared (no offense) but the idea is worth being side barred. One would only need to refine the thinking here and maybe add one or two things.

[–]redpillshadow 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

91% Upvotes - Why?

TL;DR- Your life and personality should be more unique than just being "alpha" or fucking lots of slutty women. TRP is a resource, not a label. You shouldn't think of yourself as a "redpiller" the same way a woman thinks of herself as a feminist.

Shame tactics against alphas. Implying NAWALT by separating slutty women from women. Drawing an equivalent between feminism and redpill.

That TL;DR should already be enough to downvote the post.

Maximizing your best traits through the frame of TRP, getting steady sex, and accomplishing your life's goals will make you happy.
DO NOT FUCKING SACRIFICE YOUR DREAMS TO BECOME SOMEONE YOU ARE NOT. That isn't alpha, that's uncanny valley beta territory.

Rewording of be yourself. A typical blue pill mantra. Horrible advice for anger stage people. What they are is blue pill, what their dreams are is blue pill, how they see the world is blue pill. That advice will push them back. That advice will be used to rationalize bad habits.

You need to become an interesting, fulfilled person.
You also need to be finding your purpose in life and walking that path, or you're only doing half the equation.

Direct contradiction to the above.

The lesson here is that TRP won't make you a unique, fulfilled human being on its own. YOU need to figure out who you are and THEN apply the principles.

The lesson then drives it home even more that OP doesn't want to help you. He wants you to do nothing. To rationalize doing nothing. Red pill says go fucking lift cause it changes your hormone level. OP says "find out who you are first". And he emphasizes first. It's a horrible idea and it is blue.

Those answer show that it is a feel good post. It doesn't share a truth. It shares a sentiment which feels good to anger phase people. It is not red pill.

[–]redpillshadow 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I remember a "beware of blue pill stories getting upvoted" post in the last months. It was also pinned. Did a quick search but couldn't find it. But the comments there should be the follow-up you are looking for.

Thank you for taking the time to put all of this down. I got finished reading this submission and was confused how it got so many positive comments. The submission is so out of place and filled with feel-good wa-wa bullshit mixed with shaming "don't be THAT guy" language, I don't see any value in it.

How many fucking "redpillers" does OP know in person? Probably zero. We are a drop in the ocean and the first and second rule is to NOT talk about TRP. OP is pulling shit out of his ass and smearing it all over the gym walls.

[–]let_terror_reign 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It resonates with a lot of us. We come from an unhealthy background of no role models and only female shoulders to cry on, some of us.
I threw myself into TRP like a zealot; this was my boy's club, this was my version of Fight Club. I was suddenly in with the cool older kids and I loved it. I didn't have anything to contribute just yet but I was allowed to participate anyway. That's something a lot of us missed growing up and even now.
Did it make me a proud redpiller? Yes it did. Did I completely lose myself because of that? No, but to some extent; I no longer believe in most of the things I used to.
For those like me, we are completely rewiring and losing a large part of what made us "us" in the first place and not another frat-boy wannabe. This post speaks out to us, because we're not just changing ourselves, some of us are so into this we're losing ourselves entirely.
Not the easiest thing to explain, but...

I link my self worth to more or less trying to have sex with women. I'm slowly turning this around and realizing my weaknesses and why people like me and trying to focus on that.

[–]metalhead4 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sex is an issue when you aren't getting it. I find it easier to focus on goals when you have a stable woman around.

[–]Deevoid 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Great post. Really focusses what's important about TRP.

[–]silvertongue35 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with the basic concept you presented. What if I told you that I not only learn from The Red Pill, but also from Red Pill Women as well? Or that I also look at the seduction sub as well?

I am one of those people that think that you can take something of value from other ways of thinking and doing things and make those your own.

Think of the world as a mosiac, and you have your own blank canvas.

You can be motherfuckin Picasso, why not? Paint your own masterpiece using the palette of The Other.

During my quest towards improvement, I decided to stop listening to music. It's wasted time.

I've never been that miserable. I'm a musician. I began playing an instrument at 5 and never stopped since then. Music is not very TRP (I usually spend hours doing nothing but listening) but it is needed to keep me sane.

By letting the red pill consume you, means making it the norm like a blue pill.

Just as how a blue piller only sees a blue pill world. One consumed by the red pill only sees the red pill world.

We should exist between both so we can see a contrast.

[–]dive_bomber 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't associate myself with any groups, I don't give a flying fuck about being "a real man" or "redpiller", whoever the fuck are those. I only value individuals and individuality. I noticed, back when I was still a little kid, that people change a lot when they form groups. I could be totally ok with someone one on one and have fun, but the moment he's in a group, it all changes, he's no longer the same person.

George Carlin said it best.

[–]Baylien2 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So true. Your best friends will turn on you if the larger group is against you. I was bullied in high school and this happened a lot when in groups.

[–]zuchit 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Someone had to post this. This sub was kind of turning into womenhate in some way with some guys advising never getting married and so.

Get married only if you know how to keep a women with you.

And someone had to delete it. For "shaming".

Alexandr Dugin / "To American friends: common struggle"

The Russians are very aware of Western degeneracy.

Your identity should be based in something real. Your ancestry. Your family. Your hometown. Your elementary school. Your chosen friends. Your body. Your sex.

The global elites that are pushing the Feminist agenda ultimately want to erase all identity that is based in nature and replace it with an identity that is useful for their purposes. (making us all sacrificial beta slaves)

Everyone ought to invest some time into the video. (27 minutes)

Red Pill is mostly about rediscovering the masculine and this is always something found in relation to natural hierarchy. The individual as a concept actually breaks down your natural identity.

Red Pill restores natural identity.

[–]somethingofvalue 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good video and worth the time to struggle through it. His accent plus modern ADHD makes it a bit difficult. It's a statement of philosophical conservatism, like Roger Scruton's How to be a Conservative.

We need to give a voice to our dead ancestors, the physical place where we come from, the language that we speak and its shared cultural identity, as well as our own biology.

[–]Limekill 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Your ancestry. Your hometown. Your elementary school. Your sex.

None of these are real. No body cares about your previous relations or where you come from. Rather care about stuff that matters - education, body, (and then perhaps friends and family, etc).

[–]NeoreactionSafe 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

You didn't watch the video did you?

The point is that your true identity is based in reality. It's physical and literal.

The entire progressive meme is about encouraging people into this false ego of atomistic identity ("special snowflake") which they then use to make you an obedient beta slave consumer. The beta holds a false identity given to him which he is entirely unaware of because it has been done with careful indoctrination.

Red Pill is about embracing and maximizing your native potential, but isn't delusional or abstract.

Try watching the video.

Alexandr Dugin goes into the difference between being an individual and actually living as a human being. All masculinity is relative to how you relate to others. Alpha means being above, Beta means being below. Without the hierarchy... the relationship of people... the meaning dissolves. A MGTOW can not be truly masculine because he exists without relation to others in the hierarchy. (though one might add that since he has Killed the Beta he is at least not that anymore)

The goal of the progressives is to dissolve all identity, all meaning, of relationships between people.

He even goes on and talks about the coming of Hillary Clinton and how she plans to continue the eradication of masculinity through the advance of "Gender Politics" which is central to our Red Pill themes.

[–]BurgundyCarpet 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I disagree with this post. The reason is that you do a whole lot of shaming of some made-up personifications of TRP ideas, and then you do nothing to define what exactly constitutes an "interesting fulfilled person" like you're recommending people become.

The only example you give of a "Positive Identity" is Picasso, who was a deranged little bitch. The guy only cared about acquiring social capital. He stole Cubism from his roommate Braques in order to further his little quest for status. I don't think Picasso had a single happy day on this earth. I wouldn't live his life if you paid me.

That isn't alpha, that's uncanny valley beta territory.

The "uncanny valley between beta and alpha" is perhaps the stupidest meme that has ever spread on TRP. It doesn't exist and the very idea is harmful. The reality is that most Betas who start asserting themselves will immediately experience positive results. There is no "Uncanny Valley," just a long but very doable upward climb from Beta to Alpha.

The idea of the "Uncanny Valley" is fearmongering to make men scared of asserting themselves. It would be one thing if you spoke of the importance of congruency/alignment, but you're not doing that. You're shaming men who lack congruency/alignment. And that is a shitty rhetorical strategy.

You also need to be finding your purpose in life and walking that path, or you're only doing half the equation.

LOL bro, are you still plugged in or something? Newsflash: Nobody has a purpose. Trying to find it is a fool's errand. Reading posts on here and lifting weights tho? That is pretty smart.

Do not mistake TRP for an identity, it is a resource.

It's whatever you want it to be. Adult game does not require you to have a strong identity – quite the contrary. I have found that the less identity I have, the tighter my game becomes.

Nature abhors a vacuum. When you let go of all your ideas about "identity" and allow yourself, like water, to fill the shape of whatever Alpha Archetype your woman prefers, that is by far the most successful game strategy I have ever found. Not only do you NOT NEED an identity to be sexually successful, often, an identity gets in the way of sexual success.

I'm sure this post is well-intentioned but I don't like it because you do a ton of shaming and almost zero explaining or modeling excellence.

[–]Dudemyribs3 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Agreed. Lots of lurking straw men in this post.

You also need to be finding your purpose in life and walking that path, or you're only doing half the equation.

No. You don't find your purpose in life. This phrase/idea is part of the blue pill lexicon that leads to passivity, validation seeking, and wasted years in your 20s working low-paying jobs and (mis)reading books your father lived.

YOU need to figure out who you are and THEN apply the principles.

What TRP teaches us is that you must chisel your purpose in life. It's not waiting out there for you to happen upon. If only it were that easy. You don't figure out who you are and then apply the principles. You forge that purpose through the principles.

[–]BurgundyCarpet 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

100% agreed. I'm gonna report this post for shaming and ingeniously disguised concern trolling. Fuck OP.

[–]Endorsed ContributorFLFTW16 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a spot-on reply. I am convinced that we are being blue pill brigaded because you have negative score and there are a lot of feel-good "best post evar" type replies, which we NEVER see even when a redpill demigod makes a long theoretical post complete with bibliography. Normal TRPers are not so willing to suck OP's cock even when the post is authentic and great, and this one is neither of those. You are 100% correct. OP is a faggot.

[–]redpillshadow 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure this post is well-intentioned

I'm not so sure. Smells a lot like a coordinated blue pill effort to push a bad message up. Read the thank you answers. It all sounds fake.

[–]BurgundyCarpet 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm beginning to agree with you. The more I think about it, the more retarded this post seems. The OP is doing a whole lot of shaming and very little else.

OP is a faggot

[–]let_terror_reign 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, I think he has a good idea and is using the wrong tactics to express it.
What he should have said: Don't become a redpiller and obsess over being the most alpha frat-boy ever. Be alpha, but do it in your own unique flavor.
I'm a still-obsessed redpiller, TRP is my fight club and the big boys let me in. This is what I've been thinking; all these are guidelines, some things don't change and some do; accept that the world is like this as a baseline and then let your own experience take you away to back toward the mean.

[–]Smitty6 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

TRP is a model. It's a tool to help you have better relationships with women and the world around you. It's not a identity to become. I also don't find it something you should believe is 100% truth.

What is true is that men should never stop improving themselves. That they should never take shit from people. That they should live their life on their terms. Groupthink is the big problem in the world. Let's not make TRP another form of groupthink.

[–]RP_WIP 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The up votes and positive comments show exactly how men crave the blue pill and how easy it is hamster away TRP with a feminine imperative disguised as a sort of 'tough love.'

Frame > Game > Physique Hierarchy of male SMV. When you realize this, you realize your post is meaningless.

Shaming a physically built man for wearing a tight shirt is like shaming a company for advertising their product. It is illogical and points to your incompetence in business (sexual market)

Do not fall for this guys. Pull back the blue pill veil that is your feels and look at this from a rational, logical male perspective. Hold Frame, approach women, and keep lifting.

This is a great way for women to weaken male spaces. "Oh don't take yourself too seriously you need to not be obsessed with this kind of stuff it's unhealthy" Which is true and not said in an aggressive way. Which is precisely why it is so effective/dangerous at dismantling those male spaces.

[–]zaiguy -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is one of the best posts on here. With the the Reddit Revolt shitstorm unfolding, it's refreshing to come across a post that speaks with reason and logic. This is why I love trp!

TRP destroyed the post, so, just remember how they feel about that.

[–]fap_the_pain_away 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Painfap's Law: Any time a person claims lack of height is a conquerable barrier for dating hypergamous women (in an alpha fucks role), he or she will use examples of rich famous millionaires as the argument.

[–]moose_war[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know short guys. One is 5'8" and has fucked more beautiful women than anyone I know (he's also balding). I know a guy who is 5'7" and was literally a male stripper. Are either of those people I know famous because of those things? Are either of those people notable for those things? Are either of these men fulfilled and happy simply because they banged tons of girls?

My point wasn't about alpha fucks...I feel like you're one of the people I'm talking about with my original post. Nobody remembers Picasso because he was the short dude who proved everyone wrong and fucked pretty ladies.

[–]laith_wavy 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Half of RSD are manlets. Tyler Todd Max. The tallest of them is 5'8

[–]Braaaaaapp -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This actually explains a lot. There was a guy I knew in school that looked like a model, very charismatic, etc. but trying to connect with him was nearly impossible because his only interests were going out to the club or bars every weekend or even during the week sometimes, and it made it very hard to find common interests with him. Life seems like it would be bland if you spent all your money and energy chasing pussy.

[–]moose_war[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, that was my only point really, don't become a caricature, which I think becomes the goal of many men on here. They think they must play the "part" of an alpha.
