Someone asked the question earlier today if TRP has ever not worked for any of the members of this sub; the misconception being that red pillers are magically able to make all women horny for them. It sparked a response from me that grew into more or less what I believe the red pill actually is, and why it works. The comment I have copy/pasted below seems to have resonated with a lot of fellow red pillers, and at the suggestion of others, I have made it its own separate post for your viewing pleasure.

Let me put it to you like this: Whereas before, my worldview was full of ignorance and fear of what people thought of me, today, I suffer no anxieties. (A number of physical ailments I suffered from have all but disappeared due to the relief and lack of unnecessary stress.) I could not possibly give less of a shit what anyone thinks of me now, and it feels like my life has finally begun. Do you understand what I mean?

I had this stupid fantasy that if I was kind and hard working enough, a woman would recognize my value and want to be with me, and we would fall in love and share an amazing life together. Reality punched me in the face for the longest time, decimating this fantasy every single day of my life, but I never gave up hope because that is what I was told to do. I no longer hold on to that delusion, and it's like I've awakened a sense of happiness I haven't felt since my childhood.

I secretly thought in the back of my mind that all of my effort would finally pay off when I met the right woman. I harbored a fantasy that God was watching and testing my resolve, and that he would one day reward me by answering my prayers. I really thought my past mattered, and that my good intentions would count for something later in life. I felt that surely I deserved that happiness, and all the pain I endured from one shit relationship to the next, always sacrificing, always denying my own wants and needs, would somehow amount to a proof of my right to a wonderful woman I could worship and be worshiped by.

The red pill is not about becoming a woman magnet. It's about acknowledging reality. It's about becoming alpha and not wasting your time on women who will only use you for attention and resources. It's about giving narcissists the finger. It's about making yourself the best person you can possibly be and going for what you want. It's okay to care about the needs of others, but they should not take priority over your own; that is a recipe for disappointment if ever there was nothing else I could not be more sure of.

The blue pill world is a shameful place where all your thoughts are policed by this cloud of judgement from others. As a blue piller, you fear being rejected. You fear being wrong. You fear women. You fear men. You fear God. You fear dying a virgin. You fear what people will think of the fact that you're turned on by whatever the hell turns you on.

You fear crossing any lines because you don't want anyone to dislike you. You want to be liked, and that's not such a bad thing. The irony of course, is that no matter what you do, everyone is judging you at all times. Everyone judges in the moment. Everyone is always judging. You yourself are making judgements about the red pill by asking this question, therefore you are not above what I'm saying.

People are judgers. We do it because it is natural. We perceive what we perceive because we seek to understand the world.

People are flawed in their conceptions of reality because life is a never ending struggle to understand what is. I'm sure you've encountered many misunderstandings in your own life to confirm that this does happen. It happens all the time every single day. People can be fairly accurate, they can have valid points, but they don't know you or your personal intentions. I'm not saying you're right or they're right. I'm saying there's no real inherent truth. What happens happens. Life is what it is. It's chaos, and society attempts to control it. This is why we have all these ideologies battling it out constantly, fighting for social dominance. No one is actually right. It's a giant popularity contest, and whoever has the biggest guns calls all the shots.

Women are not programmed to betray good men. Women are programmed to reward power with sex. Look at any representation of power, and you'll see pussy lining up next to it. This should be reason enough for you to begin improving yourself if you want better quality sex. The more power you have, the more access to better quality pussy you're going to get.

Knowledge is a form of power by the way. This is why blue pillers are lied to all of their lives. It keeps them powerless, and therefore controllable. Women are hyper insecure control freaks, and so they love this dynamic for obvious reasons. This is why women lie incessantly about what they want.

Being red pill does not mean every woman is going to cream her panties in your vicinity. It's an understanding of female nature and not allowing yourself to become the willing victim of its dark side. If you learn how to game women, you can definitely get your dick wet pretty consistently. Or you can just ignore women and do your own thing. Doesn't really matter since women won't ever actually fall in love with you for you.

So, is there a point when it doesn't work for me? No. Swallowing TRP can only benefit you. You will very likely be disappointed with the truths you will learn from it, but once you internalize it you won't care anymore. TRP is a set of tools that you can use to free yourself from the manipulations of others.
