You are not Chad Thundercock. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'll explain why. The term Chad Thundercock denotes a very specific type of person in the same way that blue piller and AFC do. A Chad Thundercock is simply born a Chad Thundercock. By virtue of their birth and upbringing they simply dominate the game without ever having to really run into themselves and question their believes. You will NEVER find a Chad Thundercock on TRP. Chad Thundercocks lack the self reflection and introspection necessary to understand anything TRP teaches. Chad Thundercocks are too busy beating the pussy up and being alpha to ever have for one moment considered a different mode of existence or picked up a philosophy book. That is the essence of a Chad Thundercock.

I'm with you. Chad Thundercock is generally a negative term here for someone who is born with all of the alpha sexual traits and none of the intelligence or, as you say, introspection to know any other way. He's the idiot with the stupid car and hoodie banging a different girl every week. He's the frat bro who isn't actually going places, he's just fucking lots and lots of sorority girls and getting drunk and that's about it in college.

Chad is a dumbass who hit the genetic lottery on SMV (both looks AND behavior/mindset) but doesn't know why, doesn't care why, will never know why.

He's the stand-in character for a non-RP (this is key) guy who fucks any chick he wants. He might actually spout blue-pill bullshit if anyone ever asked his opinions about society and male/female relationships, but only because he's supposed to and he really doesn't give a shit about it anyway. No one would ever ask because no one thinks Chad gives a fuck or even has enough brain cells TO give a fuck.

My understanding of the notion is different. As far as I can see it, CT's are labelled on people who fucks bad bitches left and right, whose presence makes for wet pussy, who usually has got some jacked-up body, and is a loud-mouthed steroid-fueled idiot. Now a TRP Man is someone who can spin plates, is charismatic, who lifts and takes care of his physique, and can assert his dominance if needed be or has a dominant presence by default.

The difference between Chad and TRP Dude is virtually nothing, except that the former is described with a pang of passive-aggressive tone that probably comes from envy, and is usually described as the third party to a story.

One might talk about how Chad Thundercock is nothing but a brainless jackass, but more often than not, these are quick judgments that people so readily hand over as a defense mechanism but is only based on what one saw of him, because after all, if one already thinks of them so negatively, would he or she even take the time to get to hang out with him and as a side effect, get know him better? Who knows? Maybe Chad is actually a party hard, work harder dude who keeps all his efforts at 10,000% when nobody is looking (Law 30 of 48 Laws of Power/Sprezzatura), thus, a blinded person only sees the party hard side of him.

In theory I think he's right. I think any party hard, work harder type is qualitatively different from the overall pool of CT naturals by his capacity for reflection, regardless of his origins. You certainly don't need TRP for self-reflection, but I would wager those types are avid readers or had very solid role models growing up. In any case CT can be applied to either as there is no way of knowing from an outside perspective.

The title is hyperbole - I'm specifically latching onto the phenomenon of how in any guy's life, the "Chad Thundercock" is the rival male with a higher level SMV. My hobbies (I’m an artist and a writer) led to a fruitful career in advertising – all of you who hate on the creative disciplines in college can eat my dick because I make more than most of my friends who studied Finance.

If you EXCEL at your discipline over your competition though. I'm a design student myself, and it's pretty normal for students here who know their craft/disicpline well to land gigs making 80k a year working jobs that most adults would consider "play". It's awesome :)

Sure 80k isn't millionaire status, but it's damn comfortable and opens up a lot of freedom and opportunity if you're a single guy in his mid 20s to mid 30s with no kids.

I have to disagree with that part. I am majoring in an Engineering discipline. I will be a Professional Engineer when I graduate.

But I also play guitar, write my own music, and speak 3 languages (and learning number 4).

There is no excuse for not being creative and cultured, but there is also no excuse for getting a useless degree. It won't keep you from being sucessful, but having some sort of training is a great back-up plan.

To be clear, I'm not saying that all STEM degrees are good, or that only STEM degrees are good. But do something like Accounting, and not Philosophy or some bullshit unless you know you pretty certainly that you're getting into professional school or have ties to entry level positions. It's a no brainer.

Any degree can be useless, it's all what the student makes of their education that counts.

A fine art student can bullshit their way through their degree, just as an engineering students can just score the minimum standard for passing each course and have little to no drive to seek out employment.

When you look at art and design created by people who are making a GOOD LIVING off of it, they're not just people who did it as a hobby on the side while they learned a skill or something. There's a HUGE application of theoretical concepts dealing with color, communication, etc etc that students spend years learning in lectures and studio that you really can't get outside of that environment.

There are plenty of art and design students who bullshit their way through courses just like any other major. You can take a pile of horse shit and dump it in the center of a room and call it "art" but is anyone going to buy it?

Not to mention, a lot of the "success" in the art world comes from networking with other artists and designers, who you'll most likely meet at your school or through internships and other opportunities your school provides for you. You have to always be pushing yourself and looking at the best person in the room's work and aiming to top that. It's a real wolves' den.. I wouldn't advise anyone to make a crack into the creative careers unless they have a real natural talent for it because it's HIGHLY competitive.

I understand your line of thinking, and it makes a lot of sense. It's very utilitarian.

Education can serve the purpose of preparing you to do a job. Education can also serve the purpose of training your mental processes. I majored with 3 degrees in 4 years, and while my Advertising degree got me in the door of my first agency, my Fine Arts degree set me up for success once I secured my first job.

I also work in advertising (and do ok at it) and I also went to art school. I really don't see the two as having anything to do with one another, and I certainly would never use a phrase like "my fine arts degree set me for success" lol.

Advertising is not art. I am a bit taken aback by anyone who claims to know or care anything for true art who also considers advertising to have any spark of true creativity to it.

I see art schools (and I went to a top NYC one) as overpriced daycare centers and diploma factories. I think anyone lucky enough to land on their feet working in advertising after making such a poor decision as attending a fine arts school is just making the most of a bad situation.

Glad things went well for you though, and if you enjoy your work that's great. But let's not go crazy conflating art with ads.

The part of my art degree that was really valuable is the requirement that you can think critically and abstractly about whatever's put in front of you.

Some people think art critique sessions are bullshit, but I thrived in them. My art and the ads I produce couldn't possibly be more different, but the ability to look critically at what's in front of me (be it ad or art) and verbalize what's working and not working is a skill that differentiates me in meetings now.

If you ask one of your non-art friends to evaluate a design, ad or piece of art, they have no idea where to start. But in broad strokes, I completely agree with you - less than 1/4 of my graduating art class at a prestigious Chicago school had honed that skill by the time they finished their degrees.

Yeah, that's ridiculous - art history is one of the least creative classes I took in my art degree (I ended up going after 3 majors in 4 years of college, one being Fine Arts). The "problem" of facing a blank canvas and trying to "solve" that visual problem is a truly creative exercise.

I actually work in ad creative/strategy. In such a female dominated field, I find that decisiveness and analytical thinking really differentiate me, which is why I've been able to progress much more quickly than average.

Another positive thing about being a creative is there is always going to be an element of sales within creative strategy. You will learn far more about body language, power talk, and psychology with a client if you're selling something or helping them sell something to others. Sure, straight sales jobs will be even more so, but flexing the creative mind at other times is a nice break from straight salesmanship.

in order to satisfy the "creativity requirements" I had to take art history instead of something like drawing.

The reason for this is because it's important to know a lot of things in art history for your foundational knowledge on how to draw.

If I never looked over Michaelangelo drawings, and analyzed the way he used line to emphasize depth, I wouldn't be as good at figure drawing.

If I never looked at Caravaggio's work.. I would have never understood chiaroscuro (dramatic lighting) and how it can be used to emphasize mood in a piece.

DaVinci's "Vitruvian Man" shows us the anatomically correct (debatable) human in it's form and sets the standard blueprint for anatomical measurements.

The Renaissance gave birth to linear perspective in drawing and painting (Drawings and paintings before the renaissance didn't employ linear perspective, so they look kind of warped, flat, or out of perspective; see Lamentation of Christ by Mantegna.. This painting does not employ linear perspective because it wasn't developed as a tool yet.)

I totally get what you're saying in that you would rather be working in the studio than sitting in a lecture, I'm the same way. But analyzing the old masters and adopting/applying their techniques will help you develop a keen eye and become a better artist down the road, making it quicker and easier for you to develop accurate illustrations.

Well that's what you would've got out of your course if you didn't BS all your work the night before it was due. Scores and grades don't mean shit in the art world, it's all about your portfolio and the work you produce.

Obviously liberal arts courses are BS-abe.. More than calculus or say a chemistry class, but all you're really doing is wasting time for yourself (the student) by not putting in any effort into something that you paid for and participated in for a whole semester. Instead, you decided to take the easy route instead of actually putting in effort. I've got A's in history courses off of BSing half-assed research papers, but when I'm competing up against a history buff who actually puts time and effort into their work, I'm going to come in second place there.

Sure you still got your "perfect score" but that kind of attitude does not last in this field (or any field) because you're going to be competing with people who actually put REAL time and effort into that stuff rather than bullshitting it.

Why do you think we hear about so many art majors whining about their "useless degree"? Because they thought studying art was an easy way out of having to take the "hard classes".

The main part about Chad T which you should take away is he is an opportunistic carnivore. The last 5 points in the post can only be taken advantage of by Chad. Other guys can try but the success rate will be very low generally.

By Becoming Chad your success rate with these endeavors can be as high as 50% depending on the crowd/venue you've got to work with.

When you start to see that "Chad" is a relative thing, the implications of TRP are really frightening for those in LTRs.

What you do with the rest of your life is up to you, fast track your life into the direction of being a man. I'm along a similar road as you, and honestly it feels amazing.
I had a lot of friends in HS because I would always put others before myself.
Somehow, I was led to believe that women liked men who were completely selfless and cared about others before himself.
I think all of us know how much bullshit that lie really is.
In college now and I get a new number or two every week, which is actually more than I expect since I'm in a quasi-monk mode while I'm trying to finish up the last of my bodybuilding routine for the summer.
Don't let the newfound power overcome you gents, there will be a lot of times where you may be tempted to do things that you should not be doing (like actively looking for girls already in a relationship like OP did).
I still feel a little bad about using my roommates bed to bang his date while he went into town to buy her booze, but hey Alpha fucks Beta Bux.

I pay cash on the barrel prenegotiated rates at most clinics. Cheaper than insurance copay sometimes.

Yep.

Also, I was insured for 20 years with max deductible zero claims zero submissions. $66/month as a smoker.

Quit smoking in 2013. ACA hits. Now my insurance is $460.

Finally found an insurer to drop it to $240.

I have never filed a claim ever. Never used a copay. Never did anything but pay cash upfront for a huge discount.

What's bad about Obamacare is it doesn't even do that much wealth distribution to the old and sick, the purported benficiaries of the whole thing. It mostly goes to the healthcare and insurance companies. Just thinking about it makes me sick.

I sought out girls in relationships. Girls with boyfriends. Girls with fiancés. Married girls. What I found both bothered and excited me. I use the phrase “drunk with power” intentionally because that’s truly how it feels.

Hoo boy, I had a run of that. When I moved to my current city, I brought my then girlfriend with me. She was a solid 8, maybe 9. We used to hang out at the neighborhood bar, and this one particularly friendly woman who hung out there showed obvious interest. The gf definitely raised my SMV to this woman. Fast forward a year, year and a half and I've kicked the girlfriend to the curb. This neighbor woman was only maybe a 6 or so, but had that good dirty down for anything vibe to her. She also had a boyfriend. A jealous, BP boyfriend. Who fucking hated me, mainly because her interest in me was obvious and my disregard for his existence was just as obvious. I found I just. did. not. give a fuck, and in fact, him being around was even more motivation for me to corner her in the bar bathroom, sometimes to make out with her, sometimes to make her suck my dick, which she did rather enthusiastically. Being the bad guy is fucking fun sometimes.

Well it's the short game with married/engaged chicks. It's mostly opportunistic, and almost every "success" I had in that arena was by meeting randoms at bars/clubs. Bachelorette parties are a gold mine.

Apart from that, the game is the same because the girls are the same. They've locked down their BB, but despite the ring, many are Alpha widows who still crave that AF.

Bachelorette parties are gold mines because there are sets on spades, those girls not getting married and especially those without guys are really feeling it, competitive with the others at the party (they'll compete with them for the bouquet the bride tosses in a few days), and so the mood is perfect to get the OTHER girls.
