There is a segment of TRP that thinks MBTI is bullshit and that is fine. However, what is beyond dispute is the difference between introverts and extroverts.

I want to present my view on this, and give you my personal story.

I am a classic introvert in the MBTI sense. I mostly exist in my own brain (note: introversion is not solipsism). As a kid, I was quiet, I was awkward with girls, and had trouble asserting myself.

My earliest Red Pill moment was when I was a toddler and some kid took my toy away. I went crying to my mother and she said "Go take your toy back". Damn good Red Pill advice: don't cry like a bitch, take your toy back!

But I digress.

If you are an introvert then the key to happiness is energy management. Extroverts build energy by being around people and burn energy when they are alone. You are the opposite: you build energy by being alone and then burn energy by being with other people.

When I say "burn energy", it is not a terrible or painful process. I like parties and debates and being in people's faces and such, but it is draining my energy.

The first step is to build skills. Social skills are learned skills. Join the debate team; join Toastmasters; read Carnegie.

Once you are comfortable in your own skin and can manage your energy, then you have arrived.

I was a geeky teenage incel. I sang in the church choir. At 18, I said "fuck this" and got new clothes, new hair cut, contact lenses and ditched the glasses, joined the army reserves, and fronted a rock band.

After high school I joined the army reserve (a bit different in Canada than USA, so look into it) and within a year I was yelling at guys to move here or go there, and then later I was in charge of my own section (squad) to do particular tasks. And then I was Recce Sergeant (to go find the lay of the land) and Bridge Commander with 40 guys to build a fucking bridge.

I joined the debating team in high school and then in university. Setting aside that they taught me how to construct logical arguments, it was trial-by-fire to speak in public for minutes at a time. My forte actually became the position (LO or Leader of the Opposition) where I had to talk for 10 minutes straight. With the right partner, I was basically unbeatable in opposition: there was no argument that you could propose that I could not shoot down.

Fronting a rock band really fucked me up. I went from zero to hero so fast I could not handle it.

So all I can say is that if you have musical talent, then get it out there because chicks love it. Introverts come up with these great ideas but you have to present yourself for chicks (and men for that matter) to appreciate you.

Get out there and build skills. It is not that complicated.
