Let me high jack this post to talk about my own father a bit.

By all accounts, you'd see him as a total alpha. Great job, not too bad looking for his age, 20 years younger girlfriend.

He hates his life.

The reason is, he was always a slimy asshole. He cheated on my mother for 13 years, brought home multiple STDs and such, and whenever my mum wanted to divorce him, he begged his way back.

Now two of his kids learned all this, and the third one will, as soon as she gets old enough to understand. We spend as little time with him as we can, because we learned how he was banging a younger girl when he was supposed to be taking care of us, and that's the true reason we didn't have food or supervision the weekend my mother was away, giving birth to my youngest sister.

If you wanna leave a marriage, because you fell in love with another woman, fine. Admit to it, divorce, pay child support. Don't be a weasely cunt, who promises never to bang stupid university chicks again, and do it a week later.

Own your actions, good or bad, because loving another person can be forgiven. Being a lying cunt for years can't.

I was living with my mom at 24, and my divorced dad, who still beta orbits my mom, still lived with his mother (my grandmother) at 57.

You don't have to spin plates to get abundance mentality. I've stopped spinning plates and settled on serial monogamy for the past few years and my life is way less stressful as a result. I'm just at an age now where sex isn't the most important thing in my life. When I feel like a relationship is ending I just end it because I know I'll be OK without sex for a little while before I get the next one.

For me this is much more powerful than having to spin plates.

The first priority of building SMV should always be alliance building, just as if you were a primate or a politician. Lifting is secondary to networking because you widen your opportunity to interact with mentors and friend groups that can project your status, regardless of actual measurable status variables like wealth. Everyone can provide something to a group to increase that groups status, and anyone can be a link between people that can broker new alliances that increase your chances for interactions. The overall effect of focusing on alliances, having the gratitude to be amongst those people who you are in competition with, will help rewire your brain and change your personality quicker than lifting.

True story

My father feels sorry for me because, according to him, I never found someone that I wanted to be with all the time. Someone to put before me. Someone I could dedicate my life to making happy.

I usually just nod and tell him how lucky he was. The last time I had a couple beers in me and told him that Ive had enormous success with women all my life. Girls chased me on the playground in elementary school and it just got better as i grew up. Told him I used to think like that and believe in Disney love but then I found women treating me better when I started putting myself first.

And isn't that what men really want anyway? To be treated well?

Left unsaid is that my mother, who was worshipped, cheated on him all the time.

Lift is a must in life, every rep gives your mind a sub-conscience signal that you can do it. as it gets harder you push harder. And when in a different scenario in your profession/relation or anything when you hit a brick wall you walk through it. Lift/exercise Push your limits in the practice so much when you come in the battle, everything become easy. Sweat in practice, so you don't bleed in the real life.

In conclusion: Lift - I strongly believe most of your problems can go away if you simply hit the gym and lift. Working out will encourage you (I mean it technically - give you courage) to become the better version of yourself:

This is the dumbest advice that I continue to see on this sub, as if just by lifting all your problems will be solved. It's the same dependency mindset as "if I just stop fapping, all my problems will go away and I'll automatically gain all these superpowers and I'll be fucking 9's and 10's in no time!"

Take it from me, a dude who did sports all throughout high school, was muscular and had a six pack all throughout, and never even kissed a girl all throughout DESPITE positive attention from girls I wanted to fuck. I had that same idea in my mid-teens, if I just lift I'll gain all this instant automatic confidence and all my problems will be solved.

The only thing that can solve your problems is you. The only way to face your fears in life is to face your fears in life. No one thing is gonna just solve everything all of sudden (with the exception of hitting the lottery, and even then...).

Do you know what's easier than going and talking to that girl you want to fuck? Hitting the gym consistently. Do you know what's easier than mustering up the balls to take risks and live the way you want to live? Hitting the gym consistently.

It's not lifting that solves your problems, it's putting yourself first and continuing to break past what you thought your own limits were; lifting is a very tiny part of that.

A good start, but a few things should be expanded on.

Before you even lift, ask yourself honestly: why are you lifting, what's the goal? Only when you are really frank with yourself and the reason is something you want, then your conviction will be so strong that you'll have the will to smash anything that gets in the way of your lifting goals.

You're, right about the lifting will help with other aspects of your goal. Whenever you think a mental endeavour is tough, you'll remind yourself that the gym was tough too. But, you still have to force yourself... though, the gym will help you blow of some steam when those endeavours frustrate you.

The time bit is wrong. You will always have time to waste and you may run the risk of thinking the gym is sucking your life away. Capitalise on the other point and PLAN your time. Don't just plan the gym stuff, plan other stuff to become the best you. Baby steps, for those who have chronic procrastination, about 25mins-30mins for each thing then increase as your mental stamina improves... schedule down time and breaks, of course.

And you're dead wrong about the last. Yes, lifting will harden you mentally in some respects, but that's temporary. Unless you do other things to feel more "complete", including socialising, you're going to always feel sad and lonely. If you're a guy who gets pleasure from one thing, i.e. gym, then this could help. If you're someone who needs a lot, then plan for a few things. Of course, don't discount the fact that some of you will need help from a doc if no matter what you do, these neg feelings get in the way 'cause biology brah.

Love what you said about how he didn’t know what abundance feels like. I feel that many non puas do not understand the sheer level of abundance that a dedicated pua can build.

The feeling and sense of contentment you will get from being in abundance is so great compared to just getting that one girl you’re obsessed about.

I learned simolar lessons from my father.

He once was a brilliant engineer, owned his own business and multiple investment properties. His entire fortune was tied up in the family trust that he set up.

2 divorces later, he's on his third marriage with a woman who brought 2 kids with her. Despite the fact that he hates both of her children, they're written into his will and he he's financed both of their education and living costs for the last decade (funnily enough, neither myself not my sister - his 2 biological children - received similar support).

He used to be a great man, but he's still a great lesson.

Yes, lift, lift, lift, lift and lift away your life. Just lift and do nothing else. Stand up, lift. Sit down, lift. Pass out, lift. Wake up, lift. Lifting will solve all your problems. Going through a divorce? Lift. Wife left you? Lift. Your girl cheating on you? Lift. Basically, if anything, just lift. That's right, all of lifes complications can be solved just by lifting.
