Most people say texting is for logistics only.

Most people here say that because 80% of guys (if not more) do not have the necessary chops to actually build and escalate through text. Every text that is sent between initial contact to meeting is giving yourself another opportunity to fuck it up. You can bounce back a misinterpretation or failed shit test in person far, far more easily than over text.

That being said, if you're good at texting (and you'll know it by your track record. If you're not sure, you're not) it can be just another tool in your arsenal.

Just an additional note/support on this: "texting only for logistics". Don't get this completely skewed for ONLY texting "This is _____. Drinks tonight, 8PM, at Random Bar" and then an "Ok, see you then" confirmation in ALL cases.

One of the main reasons this works is because you're not shooting yourself in the foot by typing too many messages, each which can be misconstrued or taken as too harsh, too funny, too joking, too needy, too whatever she might think. By texting only logistics you give yourself almost zero room to fuck it up.

For many reforming betas, this is a completely new concept, but it's to be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, this will work in many cases, let's just say 70% of time time the girl will say yes, or reschedule another day. If you want to increase your success to let's just say 90% without any major harm to you 'game', go with simple refresher as a first text, then into your logistical planning. Thing is, with some girls, they want SOME type of rekindling of your first meeting. For others, probably the majority, they're ok with just a planned date and time, but throwing in a small rekindling text doesn't totally screw your cause.

"Hope you haven't taken any more embarrassing snapchat selfies lately".... if you approached her after seeing her take some type of selfie and telling her it was goofy, for example. It should be something that sets you apart from the other guy. Best part is, there's not "Hey, this is __"... she just knows.

On another side note, let's say you text a girl your opening message and boom, she's shooting back 2-3 messages for each 1 you send. Or is overly interested, or just a text freak who actually wants to get a conversion going. Maybe you knocked her socks off in your first 5 minuter interaction. Adapt and go with the flow, but only if she is rolling this way. Don't hit her back with 2-3 messages yourself, but it's ok here to chat a bit more, as long as you're putting less into the conversation than she is.

Golden rule: always output less than she is. For many 'strangers', this is little to none, so start your baseline there. If she's more invested, you can invest more, but certainly don't go over her investment level. This results in a game over.

Here's where people (betas/pussies) fail. They ask closed ended questions. Questions that can be answered with Yes or No and have the conversation end.

Example: You just moved here, do you like it?

Her: Yep

Now let's make that open ended

Honestly I found once I got good at real game and raised my value to the point where I felt entitled to decent girls my txt game just got naturally good. I'm genuinely too busy to sit around texting so I'm fairly straight to the point when I do and if I do have time to txt I just say whatever the hell I'm thinking and make it fun/funny.

Save all the alpha/sexual stuff for real life and just vibe over txt and use it for logistics. I think the key to txt game is never over think about your reply just send shit as you feel it. Anything else is just incongruence and they somehow pick up on it even through a phone screen.

I actually go through large texting sessions with girls I meet off online dating. Girls get texts from tons of people; family, girls, guys, and even some alphas. Do not think you are the only alpha texting her.

If you literally just met a girl, or haven't even met her yet. You have to establish you are worth 'thinking about all the time' before you just respond once every few hours.

I generally text in large sprees. I respond instantly, witty, flirty, polarize, and I'll respond sometimes with multiple short messages. If you have 2 sentences in your responses, send the first sentence first, then text again instantly with the second sentence, as if you JUST thought of it.

Girl: Hi

Guy: Hey

Guy: Let's get chipotle.

Opposed to:

Girl: Hi

Guy: Hey. Let's get chipotle.

Once I have stuff to do I just go and do it, I don't explain over text I'm doing shit. But the radio silence from text will ensue. She may briefly wonder why I just suddenly stopped texting her, and once I do get a free moment I'll hit her up with the wombo combo again.

Respond. Then instantly respond again with a new form of escalation. As if it just popped into my head. This way it doesn't seem like I waited 8 hours to muster up the courage to tell her to come out with me. Then she'll instantly respond since she gets this high everytime we text. I'll do my instant witt thing, over and over until I get sick of it. If a girl asks if you're going to be an axe murderer over text, don't wait 30+ minutes to agree and amplify. Just INSTANTLY respond with 'Yes.' and follow up with 'I thought that's why you gave me your number in the first place.' seconds later. There are time stamps on text messages, she'll know you sent them in rapid succession.

Once she forms an unhealthy habit of texting you for about 2-3 hours on end and right before bed for a couple days in a row, she will literally just beg for you to take command. She'll drop any dollar on drinks to finally have you come show your strength and plow her.

That's my game anyways and it's gone really damn well for me.

I say this because I used to do the once or twice a day text game for a bit, and each of the girls just got bombarded by other dudes hitting them up all day long. I did do a couple things wrong though, my escalation back then wasn't as quick as it is now (don't plan dates more than a day or two in advanced, get her out while she has tingles).

Lastly, especially if you're a stranger and have like no rapport other than a few mins interaction or intro on a dating site (OKC or Tinder), then she's not gonna have tingles when you give her radio silence. You're still just like every dude.

I blew up every single time I had to text. From Alpha in real life, I get her number or lay very easy, just to lose it all when I have to text.

Last example is a girl I met at a shopping mall, and railed her whole next week. Then I was off the city for next month and we agreed to stay in touch through texts. Peak of my fucking up was when I got a bit drunk and started sending her messages about how beautiful eyes she had. When texting I slip to beta mode and I don't know why. So far can't help it, I just avoid texting except for logistics.

Texts are just a tool, more or less like everything else. It's up to you to make a profitable use of it, or suffer the consequences if you can't control yourself.

Personally, I learned the hard way. Too much texting when I was in high school and girls constantly rejected me. LL: keep it minimal.

Now, I use it only if it has a very specific purpose. One time is cause I freezed her for 2 weeks and it's time for a quick comeback, another time is cause I want to schedule a date for the evening, or maybe I just want to quickly tease her so she won't dry up.

If I'm "bored" (which is rare anyway) I have a ton of more interesting things to do than behave like a lazy 15yo which spends the whole afternoon sending meaningless texts to yet another girl that in the meantime is experimenting anal fisting with Mr.Chad.

You don't wanna be her gay-friend to which she sends +10k texts and always gets an answer in <1min. You wanna be the bro who ignores her for a week, then appears out of the blue and sends a random text, like you said "hey, drinks tonight. be there at xyz."

Texting is the part of game I was overthinking for a while. Always wondering "what I could do better", "why she isn't writing back" and too many times I've realized what I've just done seconds after clicking "Send". Now I know what I'm doing, I know the goal and the road that takes me there. Of course there are always flakes and dead numbers and girls that go completely off radar. But I'm not second-guessing myself... as often. And I have written this little post while ago but discarded is as not thorough enough. Though it should do just fine for a comment.

The goal of texting is taking a girl out and the road is simple - inviting her. But as you won't get any successes approaching the girls and saying "I've just noticed you and thought you've got great legs. Let's go for a coffee tomorrow evening." just texting "Let's meet here and there." usually won't work (unless the vibe was THAT good).

I'm not the author of that stack but I absolutely love it. It's simple and down to business. Meet the Statement-Question-Invite by DayGameAdam. I'll simplify what's there and expand on it a little.

The premise is that you don't want to ask the girl too many questions but at the same time you don't want to send her just statements. Unless she's already thinking about fucking you you'll need both. And of course you need the invite. This is the simplest sequence of texting: statement, question, invite. Let's say you're texting a number that you've got earlier that day. It should look something like this (translated example):

It was nice meeting you today. I hope you didn't lie about not murdering anyone today. :)

Haha. No, I'm still smiling and didn't murder anyone so far. :)

So I ran into you that one day a year when you don't smile?! ;)

So much win. :) I'm always in good mood!

Be creative. The usual hiccup is that your question is wrong. This is the crucial part - you have to send a question phrased so that whatever her response is you can ask her out. It's always good to accuse her of something or to suggest an activity she might like. Accusation could be "Oh my, do you go shopping every single day?" (she's defensive - "Phew, so let's meet tomorrow evening for something something", she plays along - "That's an addiction! Take Sunday off, I'm taking you for something something."). Suggesting an activity is another (translated) example:

It was nice meeting you today. I hope you succeeded in your hunt for the perfect coat. :)

I was expecting a text around 3 am but it's nice you've texted earlier. :) Unfortunately I haven't found the coat so I hope it starts getting warmer starting tomorrow. :)

Now that I've wrote this post and scanned my texts I found out that many of the invites are precceded by a statements. So the model is SQSI. And sometimes it's SQSQI. It depends on how fast you can steer the conversation into asking her out so that it won't look out of the blue. The conversation should flow naturally into the invite. But do it as fast as you can and always think about "how she'll reply to that and what I can do with it". What you want to do is have a natural invite one-two texts away.

[Initial text. Callback humor.]
[Response, vibing.]
[Capitalize on response - ask follow up OR continue your callback humor - ask question.]
[Response. vibing.]
[Statement, slightly changing conversation towards question you want to ask.]
[Capitalization on your statement.]
[Calibrate on her last text and ask seeding question.]
[Response.]
[Invite.]

Using daygame terms in SQSQI conversation first three texts are vibing then question seeds the invite and finally whatever the girl replies you invite her cause you've calibrated your last question properly. It's as simple as that.

Remember your goal. Don't be needy if she don't respond, leave it for 2-3 days and then reinitiate with a ping. If you can't think of a good question that will seed the invite do another statment-question pair. But never text her twice in a row or text her for more than 5-7 messages. You don't want to be her texting friend. You want to invite her out (and of course seduce her).

Ps. I strongly recommend inviting the girl out during the first text conversation but the same can happen later. You just replace the initial text with a ping (text ping or better yet - an image ping).

Rule of thumb is to wait at least longer than what it took her to get back to you.

Step this up a bit and make it random. Sometimes answering immediately. Other times after a while. Other times not at all.

This drives the hamster wilder even than long reply times.

Lots of variation. OP says no fucking smilies... I say sure smilies. Sometimes. Especially confusing smilies that are hard to interpret. Othertimes it's just "k". Other times it's zero response.

Also... plan ahead for her non-response. Make the default action if she non-responds work in your favour. Always remember that she can and will pretend she never saw your text if it suits her purposes. You are always dealing with an ADD teenager at best. So plan for it. Don't give her complete date information 48 hours in advance. Arrange to meet her, but don't give her the location until you need to (if she doesn't respond, she can't later say it was a nailed on date).

Logistics by text. Keeping in touch a bit... sure (but randomly). If it's important, you call. (Avoids giving her the non-responding power which she will willingly use against you)

I see myself have a fairly good text game and success with women (if that counts as success, to me it do not but it sounds better for some reason). However, I use emoji, question mark and exclamation point. Works like a charm. I do not know why tho, maybe because I am fun to chat with rather than boring? But hey, whatever floats your boat ;) Remember that shit tests are as usual, if not more, in texting than in person. They are a lot funnier and more teasing to pass as well, building up that tingles in her.

I'm currently in a relationship now so it's different than trying to meet new women. When I was single I would use texting as a way to get to know someone after meeting them on a dating site. You see if your personality is compatible through just text, before wasting your time going on a date with them. If you can't get along through text, you're not going to get along in person.

So I see more intimate uses of texting oppose to just logistics only. I do however agree with the rule of not texting back immediately. Especially if it took her a while to reply.

What I like about texting is it's a prolonged conversation over a long period of time. You can talk to someone for weeks and it all just continues when each of you are free.

Granted there are certain ways to talk over text, and you have to be able to see how someone else might read it.

There is no such thing as text game, game happens live, the rest is fluff. If she keeps texting you, just go "I'm not the right person to text cause you're bored." or ignore her completely. Texting makes you more human, more accessible, less alpha.
