Tell all your "friends" you really need to tell them something importnat for you and say you want everyone around for that. They will imply you're going to come out of the closet that day. And when the moment comes, everybody listens to you say "My dear friends, I'm straight and I'm proud of it" and go on telling them how they make you feel discriminated only because your a straight male. In all honesty: You are not going to make them realize they are hurtful. Heard of gamergate? Well, they are pretty much the child of men having enough of being bullied by feminists. Wherever said gamergate tries to confront feminists in a rational and civilized way (at least from what reaches me which isn't much) they shout of misogyny and male privilege. If you want to read more you can look for places that are either pro or against feminists and read up there (like MRA forums & anything for gameragate, or some feminist forums and against gamergate). If you want me to write to you a bit from a psychological standpoint (psychology&programming student here) I can try to explain how their problem is a self-perpetuating madness of a flawed ideology focused solely on making you feel better (not actually be better).

EDIT: Note: it's definitely better to seek friends who are devoid of ideologies and such. While yes, this being TRP it kinda is about an ideology, but I not fully agree with it. I take it like everything else: through the prism of my mind. It's hard to find people like that. However, it's very much worth it.

I've lived in California all my life. When I was younger, my classmates didn't give a shit about other-gendered and gay people - they still called each other gay and faggot, most common slur was "that's so gay" - similar to today's "basic bitch". This was the time when "Merry Christmas" was still socially acceptable over happy holidays. Sometime after the turn of the century, it became socially taboo to use gay as a pejorative slur. Then we had prop 8, our gay rights amendment, which surprisingly failed! Ever since it's failure and a few gay related suicides, many prominent gay media personalities have spoken out against bigotry and homophobia. This "change" took maybe 5 years, and it basically caused a 180 shift in popular opinion on gays and lately transsexuals.

Most of the people who support gay rights and to a lesser extent tumblr genderism shit grew up during the change and had no frame of reference beforehand - meaning they feel guilty gays had to endure living in the shadows and being treated as second class citizens, even though a lot of them never participated in the gay bashing in the first place. People my age are by in large bandwagoning hypocrites who I know used to throw out slurs like Halloween candy and have "realized the error in the ways".

To stroke my ego a bit, I never used gay slurs in real life as an insult, because I don't attack people for personal choices, but for their rampant stupidity and lack of logic they expressed. Even when I grew up, it didn't feel right (or smart) to say "that's so gay" because it's an empty statement. It only means "that's socially unacceptable", as with most insults that try to force people to think or behave the "correct" way.

The idiots, your friends, who are preaching tumblr rights are just following the popular opinion train and doing whatever personally benefits them, as one posted says above, to gain a sexual advantage. Very few of these people understand what they're saying, and are jumping on this ship because it's popular and en vogue.

So to answer your question. Find friends who aren't stupid, don't bandwagon on the latest trend, share similar interests and treat you decently in groups of other friends. Also follow TRP basics and talk to more cis-women and build sexual attraction with them. Good luck

Kids these days are just trying to be cool and trying to stake out a high social status through their claim on alternative sexualities. Our society is fucked up. Humans are social animals and they just can't resist the urge to try to step on one another to get a leg up on other people in the tribe. With the modern cultural marxist philosophy that is dominant in culture, minority groups have been able to gain advantage by constantly decrying their victimhood. This has logically led to the false adoptation of minority status by members of the majority. By claiming to be demisexual or whatever, you can now claim the special rights of being a minority and being a victim. You can also claim the moral highground by being against traditional conventions. Make no mistake, claiming an alternative sexuality for the large majority of people is nothing more than a ploy to acquire more social status and more social power.

What's particularly devious about a power grabbing gambit like this is that the fakosexual can counterattack any criticism against them by tarring and feathering the attacker as being a bigot. This makes it extremely hard to directly attack these people because you will be labeled as homophobic or whatever.

Wise up! Get it out of your head that these people are honest or legitimate agents and socializing in good faith. They are not. They're liars and game players and selfishly trying to gain social rank at other people's expense. They have already succeeded in controlling your actions and even your thoughts because you are worried about not being "hurtful" while they are opening being hurtful by making bigoted comments against the male gender.

Now you could man up and confront them directly by I'll tell you the truth - nowadays you'd find yourself without any friends because pretty much all the young girls are playing this bullshit game. The only way to really play the fuck out of them is to claim to be bi yourself, make out with some guys at parties to prove your street cred. Then fuck every one of these girls that you can. I understand that this is pretty extreme and you may not want to go this route.

When they start playing their bullshit games on you, you can pull out the orientation card and play that against them. Criticize them for not being sexually liberated and open. Criticize them for not being really bi and actually being lesbians. Agree and amplify the shit out of that. "It's cool. I understand. I think you are probably more lesbian than bi. I think you should explore that more. You should buy some guy clothes since you identify more as male now. Here, you can have some of my old clothes that don't fit me anymore." Then when they fail to follow through with that shit, you can mock them for not knowing who they are and lying about their sexuality (of course, your mocking must be under the radar and not outright. A little goes a long way. Sly as fuck.). Since these girls are claiming alternative sexualities, criticizing them for not being sexually adventurous is an extremely powerful attack that uses the enemy's strength against them. Then seduce them with your emotion provoking stories of sex and being with that magical right person.

Ok I was born in a family that was HEAVILY FEMINIST and pro gay, trans, the more degenerate the better accepted you would be by my mom and my gazillion sisters (only 6 really).

Now why did I vomit a full paragraph of text about my mommy issues? Well you can change your friends but NOT your family.

Overtime, like any person with the short end of the stick, I came to the realization I was holding it!

So I had to learn to live with people who viewed my reformed worldview (right wing, conservative and traditional on women's role) as barely better than Hitler (They staged an intervention).

The way to deal with it I found is

A) vary your circle of contacts and friends, make room for people who view the world like you do and invite them over >D

B) When something like this comes up make it a (gentle) teachable moment in this case >> I feel attacked when you say stuff like that, I can't go on saying that girls are douches and pointing at people, why is it ok for you but nor for me? << cue puppy eyes

C) Accept that the world is a rich and varied place with many differing views and that some of them will be offensive to you, that's no reason not to enjoy life to the fullest.
