I've actually got a story to support this one.

Broke up with this chick and we said all the BS about being friends. She hopped right on another dick immediately, and starts posting on Snapchat a lot. I don't view any of the stories. Since you can see a very small icon of what the picture is, I could tell what she was doing: it was all of her and her new man. Pretty transparent, even for her.

I didn't view any of them. WITHIN 4 DAYS, she texts me asking "did you block me from Snapchat?" She had posted up a bunch of shit to make me jealous, AND she was compulsively checking her visitors to check for my name. AWALT.

Although it's just better not to view it (your time is valuable) if you have an iphone and jailbreak it you can download Phantom Snapchat and it will give you the option to hide your story views. The more you know.

Fuck. This is how I know I'm getting old. I never even installed snap chat. Never saw the point but it seems like the kids are using it... I'm also listening to "oldies" on the radio. Fuck!

This reminds me of the day that my oneitis, of whom i cut off from my endless stream of validation, got so angry that i dropped her she went out clubbing and took a picture with anyone who would let her and put it in her snapchat story. Some of the guys were my friends and they told me she was going around taking pictures of her and anyone who tried talking to her.

She ended up having a 200 second long snapchat story of purely that, she added me on facebook a couple days after for fuck knows what reason.

I've used this to my advantage actually. When im snapping a girl snd just stop sometimes I check their story in an hour just to show Im still active but don't care enough to personally respond to them. They usually snap me again within the next hour.

If a woman posts a selfie on her story board and no one is around to view it, does she even exist? Beauty is a subjective term which varies from person to person. A woman's only worth (unless they show otherwise) is in their vanity. Without the observer to validate a woman's beauty, and without any other tangible attributes that could otherwise make her an interesting person, she does not exist. By looking at her, you do nothing more but feed into her illusion that she has something more to offer you than her physical attributes.

Hold frame, and DO NOT view a womans story board if you're interested in her. And honestly when was the last time you saw someones story board and thought "wow my life is so much more fulfilled for watching this chick's grilled salmon her beta cooked her... #independent"

The reverse to this is you can see which girls are constantly checking your story. It's not as consistent but I noticed most of the ones that check mine are former plates or girls that are interested. This isn't always the case, some people are just curious as to what you are doing. But I think it's a pretty good indicator.

Did not know you can see who views your "story". I just use snap chat as opposed to taking a pic and texting it to a few friends sometimes, kinda convenient for that use. Just speeds up the process.

This is a very good thing to be aware of. Thanks, OP. I actually witnessed something similar the other night in a strange way. I was hanging out with a group of friends including my crush. She is a cute, somewhat timid virgin who doesnt post to social media often (unlike most girls I know). But the last two times we've hung out together, she's wanted to take snapchats of me and her together or even just of me to post to her story. For the rest of the night she'll frequently check to see who/how many people have viewed it, and vocalize it. It gave me a window into what OP is talking about, but the weird thing is I was the one IN the snaps this time instead of the viewer of them. I want to think she was showing me off (I need to take action soon) but what if she was just using me as social proof? Bah. Either way, snap chat is a dangerous game...

This is good information to have. But depending on your goal, it may not matter.

For the most part, if you're steady going through all her snapchats with her and new boyfriend, then the oneitis is strong and you need to stop viewing them, period.

If she's just an ex and you're viewing her and everyone else's snapchats just for the fuck of it, then it really doesn't matter how she perceives it.

This may only hurt if you're in an LTR or its a plate. Her ego may become over inflated and she might start acting funny.

I think you mean the regular snaps that you get. The story on snapchat is to the right of the camera screen and is available to anyone that the person has added as a friend, while the snaps are to the left of the camera screen and are sent directly to you.

While they see it when you look at a snapchat they sent you directly (meaning they had to select your name from their list of contacts within the snapchat app) the "My Story" section doesn't give any notification that it's been seen.

But you are absolutely correct, and if you root/jailbreak your phone you can view the images (and save) without sending out any notifications that you've done so. Normally when you screenshot within the app it notifies the person who sent it that you screenshotted, so the workarounds for this are well worth it if you run game on snapchat.

Edit: So it looks like it is possible to check, but you have to manually check it (as opposed to receiving push notifications about screenshots or being able to see from the icon of an outbound personal snap that it's been viewed). Since that's the case I don't see it being as big a deal, especially since stories are sent to everyone, she's likely to have a long list of people who have seen it and you can just tap past them all to get rid of the story in your feed.
