That ability to pull the trigger, that’s key. It’s like jumping off a cliff. Your fear is telling you no, coming up with all the things that might go wrong. Given your posting history I'm going to assume that you are the channel creator and that this is your attempt to formally engage with this community.

There are two lenses that we can view the situation from.

Supply Side Economics: men arnt being laid because they display passive beta male behavior. If the supply of masculine men increased then presumably the amount of sex would increase. From what I can tell this is your argument.

Demand Side Economics: the demand for sex is at an all-time low. This is because of a confluence of factors including: Shit Economy, Anti Male Culture, Higher percentage unfuckable fatties, Shifting demographics and aging population. Yes it still is possible to get laid however the (time) cost benefit ratio has taken a sharp sharp dive. In my model the most cost effective thing to do is move to a market (south American) which has higher demand.

So the argument can be reduced to: do we build a better piano or sell pianos to people who actually want to buy pianos?

Ouch! The aura of betaness was just overpowering. 28 and just out of grad school, according to the video, so maybe he doesn't have enough time in the real world to get a handle on it.

1) Clothing is wrong. He looks like he's heading to the skateboard park. Unless he wants a skater chick or a goth girl, he needs to be dressed at least business casual. No second chance to make a first impression, as the saying goes.

2) He seemed incredibly uncomfortable talking to the host and looked like he felt very out of place - and if he's that awkward with nothing in play, he must really fall apart if there's anything to strive for.

3) If you keep doing what you've always done, you're gonna keep on getting what you always got. That's a saying from AA, but you don't have to have that kind of a problem to benefit from this advice. If you're not happy, either lower your expectations or ramp up your efforts. If you're subscribed to this sub, you've probably gotten tired of lowering your expectations.

4) This wasn't some small town in the Midwest or the Deep South . . . this was New York! The big bad city offers a huge amount of anonymity by virtue of the sheer number of people.

5) This last bit is from General George S. Patton: A good plan, violently executed right now, is better than a perfect plan sometime next week.

Unless your self confidence, frame, and self belief is solid enough (assuming your looks aren't above average) this could easily end with some sort of 'harassment' situation if the girl gets a incongruent vibe from you.

If it goes well then great! If it doesn't go that well and she can easily attribute it to some unfavourable characteristic of yours, that will be enough for her to justify that it's harassment.

This guy wasn't ready for something like this. He's probably decent looking enough but he wasn't mentally there and considering attempting this in the current climate, something inside of him was telling him it could potentially go very bad.

It's actually easier to do something awkward or retarded on purpose because then if it doesn't go well, you can roll with it, and if any part of it goes well, that's a bonus. Kind of a cowards entry to approaching but who cares. Gives him enough plausible deniability until he at least gets a bit of confidence through some successful approaches.
