The focus of Red Pill mentality is on yourself, while PUA is focused on pussy.

The Red Pill is all about making yourself the best possible man that you can be, and opening your eyes to the lies and bullshit that we've been fed for most, if not all of our time on this planet. It gives you a better understanding of things, and changes the way you interact with people.

Pussy is just a side effect to the evolution that you undergo.

It seems that most people think PUA is just focused on getting the girl and nothing else matters, yet somehow TRP is above PUA. I've never seen this to be the case. I discovered PUA before I discovered TRP and they both shared similar philosophies.

PUA taught me to improve myself and get my shit in order to become a more attractive person. I took these lessons, started working out, learned to dance, and am in school right now doing better in a field that will see me getting a decent paycheck.

In fact, there are some parts that TRP is worse than PUA. PUA tells you that looks don't matter because there is nothing you can do to change it (outside of dressing better/working out/etc), but many TRP posters are always bitching about how being "tall, good looking, rich, and alpha" are the only things that matter (not all you guys of course, but there's a post about it at least a few times a week).

I do agree that TRP focuses more in the internal struggle and attempting to fix it whereas PUA is more focused on the strategy of picking up girls.

The biggest lesson I received from TRP is that there is a constant struggle within many men regarding their masculinity, and that it is okay to embrace it. TRP also taught me that no one owes you anything and that if you aren't willing to help yourself, then you won't receive any sympathy from those around you. Fix that shit yourself.

I enjoy a healthy combination of both PUA and TRP.

Sorry to burst your bubble but PUA works, especially if you are in the mid-range of looks etc. Game can get you above the 80% where you are balls deep in fresh tang. The approach methodology is infallible. You WILL find women to fuck if you learn PUA.

TRP is first about self improvement and second about the rules of attraction which incorporates evolutionary psychology and PUA field knowledge. With PUA getting laid is THE goal and only goal. With TRP self improvement and success is the goal. Getting laid is a byproduct of that process which includes accepting the truth and reality for what it is. Learning and accepting the truth about women, feminism, marriage 2.0, female hypergamy and deception, Alpha Fucks/Beta Bucks, the lure of "bad boys" and yes, learning game and basic PUA in order to handle women.

My layman understanding is that TRP is an evolution of the natural game movement that came out of the second generation PUAs. I.e. the first wave of PUA focused on faking it to make it, using canned openers, parlor tricks, and routines to get girls. The second wave was more focused on internalizing this to become more natural. I.e. a girl can't see through your tricks if what she's seeing is actually you. TRP seems to be an extension of this, incorporating evolutionary psychology, and focusing more on developing masculinity as the primary goal.

Whereas natural game focused on becoming alpha for the sake of girls, TRP focuses more on becoming the best man you can be, with the side effect of getting girls. There's also an undercurrent of bitterness and resentment there, but that's understandable given that we're all fairly disillusioned with the current state of western society.

You lot strawman PUA. Everything I've read in here I've read on PUA forums and often in more detail. The only real new content I'd not seen before is the dark triad stuff and material on femine vs masculine love.

The main difference is TRP has a heavy right wing tinge and a lot more hate or guys who've been really hurt before.

I can't believe you'd complain about terms like sarging or kiss close on a sub that uses words like 'plates' or 'hamstering'

a few people seem to believe that all women care about men being genuine. if a guy is entertaining, has some funny lines, and knows his PUA stuff well, he can get laid easy enough. it would be by one of the girls you would turn into a plate. but lets face it, not all women really care that much about who they are fucking. all you have to do is be the best option for the moment.

and really its a numbers thing. walk up to a girl and ask if she would like to fuck and she probably will say no just because you disrespected her and she wants to put you in your place (unless you are very attractive). but do this to a hundred girls and one of them will say yes. the key is doing it over and over again to many women cleaning up your technique.

honestly i think pua and red pill are two different approaches that lead to the same spot. the key is in experience, learning from your failures and improving yourself. you can work on just improving yourself and then letting the chips fall where they may (red pill), or you can work on figuring out what attracts women, which leads to you improving yourself.

they aren't so different.

the real difference is that red pill also has MGTOW and that is its own monster. it is about improving yourself, and accepting that women as a whole generally will never meet your standards, so you should just work at doing other things.

It's funny that many people are saying PUA is about pussy and TRP is about self-improvement. All our field reports are about how much more sex a guy is having after taking the pill, and never about how he made leaps and bounds towards upping his value, improving his skills and increasing his satisfaction in life outside of picking up women, he's simply stated that he fucks more girls and works out.

I was heavily involved in the PUA community before coming to TRP. While most schools of PUA do involve tricks and tactics, the leading schools in PUA align very much with TRP and I would say there isn't much of a difference. Real Social Dynamics, the best PUA school by leaps and bounds, focuses a lot on inner game, i.e. being the strongest version of yourself (self-improvement, finding your center, building an awesome lifestyle) in addition to focusing on the outer game of pickup (the actual act of going out and talking to women and having social skills). RSD has acknowledged that there are two sides of the coin; you need to be an attractive men first and foremost, but the ability to go out to public places and seduce women is a skillset that is built through practice and experience. Being great at PUA is about both macro-level life building and micro-level skillset building.

it sounds like TRP is really a subset of PUA, except that a lot of people in the PUA community... well... suck at it. I see TRP as a method within PUA which many won't want to use.

The difference is that RP is more of a general life philosophy whereas PUA is straight up about slaying as much pussy as possible. PUA does involve a lot of red pill thinking for obvious reasons. I've noticed that over the past few years PUA has grown out of the club scene and also become more of a lifestyle - again with plenty of RP values.

Nobody is saying there's a magical way to fuck every girl you lay your eyes upon. It's all about casting a wider net (more approaches) and using the right bait (show alpha traits).

Just because you can't pull it off it doesn't mean that it's fake.

TRP= we are hardly attempting to make it just "handsomeness, physical fitness", since it's the only important thing to women. But this body-based approach is really hard to swallow if you don't have a fit male body.

The very good thing about the TRP physical approach is that, since male physical fitness is the only important thing to women, then once you become physically fit you have already accomplished all you have to accomplish regarding women, and so you can apply your actions and efforts to other things and goals much more important than women, since once you are physically fit, and so once you've already done all you had to do, then whether you succeed or not with women is no longer your fault, but it will be due to reasons or motivations of women or pertaining to women you don't need to be worried or concerned about. In other words, being physically fit liberates you from women and from the woman subject.

This physical fitness approach is so fucking powerful, that even if physical fitness actually was not the only important thing to women, you yourself only want to get pussy for your physical fitness and you are not interested in other types of woman, so the fact of women not considering your fitness the only important thing won't invalidate or overrule your fitness-based approach and won't subject you to the woman matter again.
